About Cedar Walk Family and Cosmetic Dentistry

Cedar Walk Family and Cosmetic Dentistry is a dental practice on Riverstone Way in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte, North Carolina. A veneer is a thin custom shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, length, or colour, most often used to address chips, gaps, or discoloration that whitening alone cannot fix. Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed, which makes the change permanent.

Holistic, or biological, dentistry applies standard dental diagnosis and treatment within an approach that emphasises material choice and conservative treatment, considering oral health as connected to the body more broadly rather than treating the mouth in isolation.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost.

Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Cedar Walk Family and Cosmetic Dentistry located in Charlotte?

What days is Cedar Walk Family and Cosmetic Dentistry open?
Cedar Walk Family and Cosmetic Dentistry is open Monday through Friday. Contact the practice through this page to confirm current appointment times before travelling.
What services does Cedar Walk Family and Cosmetic Dentistry offer?
Listed services at Cedar Walk Family and Cosmetic Dentistry include Veneers and Holistic Dentistry. The full list is shown on this page.
How long do veneers last?
Porcelain veneers commonly last a decade or more with reasonable care. They can chip or debond, and the tooth underneath still needs protecting from decay and gum disease as normal.
Do veneers ruin your natural teeth?
Traditional veneers require a thin layer of enamel to be removed, which is irreversible — the tooth will always need to be covered afterward. Some minimal-preparation options remove less, and whether they suit you depends on the starting position of the teeth.
Are holistic dentists still trained in regular dentistry?
Yes. A holistic practice is a licensed dental practice that has chosen a particular philosophy around materials and conservative treatment — it is not a separate qualification, and standard diagnosis and treatment still apply.

As always, I was treated with so much care. Everyone there is cheerful and fun To hang out with. I think I’m the only one that enjoys going to the Dentist. I am extremely happy with the results even though they’re not even done yet Stacy Long

From the receptionist to the dental assistant and the doctor, everyone was excellent. I had a crown done the same day, and the entire process was quick and completely painless. I’m very happy with my experience and will definitely come back whenever I need dental care. 🥰

I just moved my family to another dentist. First of all they are listed as a Family Dentistry but then if you child needs any dental work beyond a cleaning they send you off to a pediatric dentist so whats the point in being a family dentist?? I had to find my own pediatric dentist to do the cap for each of my sons and I told them it was scheduled and we would not be present for our Friday morning appointment then they called me the morning of asking me to come early with the second son and I told them we had already canceled the appointments. I do both of my children's appointments always at the same time and canceled them at the same time but they still charged me $50 for the one child they missed canceling! Then I evidently had an appt scheduled 1/30 and I did not get any text or phone call reminder or confirmation. You schedule appts 6-12 months in advance how crazy to not send a confirmation and then charge me ANOTHER $50! I hope the $100 and inflexibility is worth losing an entire family who actually really loved the female Dentist we were seeing at this practice. Horrible customer service!

After visiting three different dentists trying to find the right fit, I can confidently say I’ve finally found my dental home with Dr. Wallace. She was absolutely amazing — thorough, honest, and took the time to explain everything without ever making me feel rushed or pressured. A huge shoutout to Charlotte, the dental assistant, who was incredible. She was kind, attentive, and made the entire experience comfortable from start to finish. Honestly, the entire staff was fantastic — friendly, professional, and welcoming. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that this office truly cares about their patients!
