Dental emergencies require immediate professional care to prevent escalation of pain, infection, and irreversible tooth damage. Center City Emergency Dentist addresses the full range of acute dental situations — including severe toothache from pulpal inflammation or abscess, dental trauma from falls or accidents, cracked or fractured teeth, knocked-out teeth (avulsed teeth), lost or broken dental restorations, and acute gum swelling associated with periodontal abscess.
When a patient presents with an acute toothache, the practice performs an emergency examination including diagnostic X-rays to determine whether the source is decay-driven pulpitis, abscess formation, a cracked tooth, or periodontal disease. Treatment is initiated promptly — whether that involves emergency root canal therapy, drainage of an abscess, bonded repair of a fracture, or tooth extraction followed by post-operative care instructions.

I can’t express how deeply my anxiety is, when it comes to dental work (and doctors offices in general). I put off much-needed dental work until I no longer could. I woke up this morning in extensive pain, and knew that I had a dental infection of some kind. Lack of empathy is the #1 reason why I avoid dentists. I also have sensory issues and dislike being touched. At the end of my emergency visit, I asked Amy (the treatment coordinator) for a hug, because I was so blown away by the incredible kindness and support I received, not just from her but the whole staff. She obliged 🤗! I haven’t had my surgery yet, but I know I’ll be in great hands. Oh! And she did her very best to keep the costs low. She’s a really genuine and kind person. 5 stars all around!
I took my teen here for an emergency. I called in and got a quick same day appointment. The staff were polite and professional. Dr.Carlos Huergo was personable and he helped my teen and myself feel comfortable. I appreciate how he dosed the laughing gas because my teen was normal afterward. My only concern were the x-rays. I don’t like exposing my children to radiation unless very serious. If they could provide vest to help protect the body from the radiation that would be exceptional. I would recommend this place for emergencies.
It’s no shock that this place has glowing reviews. I want to take a moment to commend Dr. Juan Cabrera. If you haven’t been to a dental specialist yet - particularly a periodontist - seriously consider getting evaluated by one. I was lucky to find Dr. Cabrera before my condition got considerably worse. He is one of the most knowledgeable, compassionate, and patient doctors I’ve ever met. The staff here reflect the same qualities and they use the most advanced imaging technology I’ve experienced. They are transparent and efficient when it comes to explaining any charges and scheduling appointments as well. Wait times are more reasonable during the week vs the weekends for obvious reasons. I highly recommend this place and particularly Dr. Cabrera. You won’t regret it.
I came in for a broken tooth, terrified to go back to the dentist. The staff was amazing, with no judgment and made me feel extremely comfortable. I ended up getting all my wisdom and a broken tooth extracted. They always gave me a deep cleaning. I was knocked out from the anesthesia so everything happen fast to me. My insurance paid their percentage and it left me with a nice amount to pay myself. But I'd say it's worth it, especially when it comes to my oral health. So take it from me! Don't push off dental vists!!!!
KIANNA RODRIGUEZ Is the best dental assistant I’ve ever had. She makes me want to come back , I wish I could request her. She could be a great dentist one day. I appreciate the professionalism, care, integrity and straightforwardness. Thank you so much
