About Center for Prosthetic Dentistry

Center for Prosthetic Dentistry provides dental care on North Brand Boulevard in Glendale, California. Dentures replace some or all of the natural teeth in a jaw with a removable appliance, custom-fitted to the mouth. A full denture replaces every tooth; a partial fills gaps where some natural teeth remain. Because the jaw bone reshapes over time, dentures typically need adjusting or remaking periodically.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost.

Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less. Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Center for Prosthetic Dentistry located in Glendale?
Center for Prosthetic Dentistry is on North Brand Boulevard in Glendale, California (91202).
What days is Center for Prosthetic Dentistry open?
Center for Prosthetic Dentistry is open Monday through Friday. Contact the practice through this page to confirm current appointment times before travelling.
What services does Center for Prosthetic Dentistry offer?
Listed services at Center for Prosthetic Dentistry include Dentures. The full list is shown on this page.
How long does it take to get used to new dentures?
Several weeks is typical, and speech and eating usually feel awkward at first. Sore spots in the early stage are common and are adjusted rather than endured — they are not something to put up with.
Can dentures be supported by implants?
Yes, and it is a common solution for a lower denture that will not stay put. Implants anchor the denture so it does not move while eating or speaking, which is the most frequent complaint about conventional lower dentures.
What happens during a routine dental examination?
The dentist checks the teeth for decay, examines the gums, looks at any existing fillings and crowns, and screens the soft tissues. X-rays are taken when there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth.

I was recommended to Center for Prosthetic Dentistry by another Doctor. I am very pleased with them and put a lot of trust in them. They now feel like family. I have been with them over 10 or 15 years. I lost track. LOL, like I said they feel like family. I was with them from their office in Burbank. My teeth are very important to me so I need to trust the doctor and their associates. Thank you Dr. Derbabian, Marci and staff.
