About Center Stage Kids Dentistry
Center Stage Kids Dentistry operates on San Pedro Avenue in San Antonio, Texas. Pediatric dental care is built around treating children specifically — dentists with additional training in child development and behaviour management, and offices designed to make a first visit unintimidating. Guidance generally points to a child's first dental visit around age one or within six months of the first tooth.
Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.
A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.
Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.
Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.
Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. The doctor and staff were amazing so glad we chose them I highly recommend them. I am taking my great granddaughter there all time the doctor was very good at explaining things to me and my grandson thank you so much.
overall decent place and nice people BUT... I attended this clinic from 2013 to about 2021 or 22. Multiple times my wisdom teeth were Xray and they told me again and again they were so far up, not formed, and would never come down in my lifetime. Well guess what the odds won. I asked many time if I could get them out just to get it out the way and incase they ever were to come down and they denied. I transferred to adult dentistry and they said my wisdom teeth should've been taken out years ago (I was 18 during this appt) Im an adult now, school life, busy life, no job, and only have money for gas to and from school. I'm stuck with major chronic tooth and TMJ pain/complications and the inconvenience of being too broke and having zero time for this procedure as a student. Learn from my unheard advocacy and if they say no, push them to do the treatment you or your child needs. Just because you don't seem fit enough right now you will NEED it in the future!!!! Get it done before you have no time or money in this adult life.
Love this dentist! She is incredibly compassionate and patient with kids. She takes the time to explain everything in a way parents can understand, and my kids actually enjoy coming here. Both of my children needed major dental work and she took amazing care of us. I’ve been to other dentists who suggested unnecessary work or immediately wanted to send us to the ER, but she took the time to properly explain the situation and still helped my child with the infection he had. I truly trust her and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Highly recommend!
Very lovely place! Super kind office staff and my son enjoys his visits.
Had a wonderful visit with Dr. Taiym and Hailey. Cleaning was smooth and informative. Helen was very pleasant at the front desk. Would highly recommend.
Dr. Nayen and staff are amazing!! So welcoming and caring. I have all my babies with her and they ages range from 9m to 5 yo. Edit to say: I just read a comment about cleanliness.. that is not true. This office is clean and it always smells good. The building might not be updated but as far as clean is 10/10!!
Best pediatric dentist in town! We started bringing our two year old here at the beginning of the year and have had nothing but a great experience! They are a clean and quiet environment. They have a little playground while your kiddos wait, and Dr. Taiym is absolutely amazing not just with the littles but with the adults and explaining everything thoroughly. Thank you for taking great care of our little one.
Little Dental pediatrics has been so kind and patient with my kiddos. They were quick to come up with treatment plans and get them in quickly. I will continue to bring them here for as long as we can.
Dr. Taiym is patient and friendly, but straightforward about what is best for my kiddos. The staff is so kind and welcoming and playful. It’s so easy to get my kids to go.
I had a great experience at Little Dental. The doctor was great. They sedated both my daughter and son and it went seamless. I really like that they allow the parents in the back. The clinic is clean and the staff is friendly. This is a great place for kids!
