About Central Florida Institute of Oral Surgery & Dental Implants

Central Florida Institute of Oral Surgery & Dental Implants is a dental practice on North Edinburgh Drive in Winter Park, Florida. A dental implant replaces a missing tooth at the root, not just the crown — a small titanium post is placed in the jaw bone and, once it has integrated over a period of months, a replacement tooth is attached to it. It is generally the most durable option for a single missing tooth or several.

Wisdom teeth are removed when they are impacted, repeatedly infected, decayed, or damaging the tooth in front, since they arrive last and often into a jaw with no room left. Not every wisdom tooth needs to come out — one that erupts cleanly and can be kept clean is often left alone.

Bone grafting rebuilds jaw bone that has shrunk after a tooth has been missing for a while, most often as preparation for a dental implant that needs sufficient volume to anchor into. Healing generally takes several months before further treatment can proceed.

Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. My son was scheduled for a consultation today to get his wisdom teeth extracted. We never made it to the consultation with the doctor. Our appointment was for 1:30 p.m. At 4:00 p.m., the entire waiting room had emptied out because people were rescheduling due to the ridiculous wait time. We were not seen at 4:00 p.m. because after seeing the way that patients were discharged, I did not feel this was a safe environment for my child. Please research and find another oral surgeon.

The staff and doctor really care about you here. I haven’t been treated this well at a dental office in a long time so I’m especially grateful to the front desk the manager, the paramedic, the doctor and everyone who assisted in the procedure. I have severe panic disorders and they couldn’t have treated me better. I’ll be looking into coming here for my implants

This is one of the best dental offices I have been to in a very long time. Not only did the oral surgeon listen to everything I had to say and my concerns but also said if that was the route I wanted to take, as the patient I should have the last word on my treatment and that is the treatment I would be getting. The surgery scheduler was extremely helpful with all questions I had. She also listened to the concerns I voiced and validated them. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone in need of a dentist or oral surgeon!!! Everyone at this office made me feel very comfortable I was listening to all concerns taken into account and my opinions as well. The oral surgeon himself showed me wonderful courtesy and respect, as did the surgery scheduler! I would give more stars if I could! They are amazing!

I had a consult at this oral surgeon office and honestly had a good experience. The assistant Stephanie was really nice and sweet. I was nervous and had a lot of questions, but she took her time explaining everything to me so I could understand and feel more comfortable. The front desk staff were nice too. There was a little wait but For me it was worth the wait. It’s hard to find oral surgeons around Orlando that take Medicaid, so I really appreciate this office. I’m happy with how they treated me and thankful for the care I received.

I’d like to give a big thumbs up to Aida and Carolyn at the front desk of the oral surgeon’s office. Carolyn checked us in and was extremely professional and polite while assisting my mother, who was very nervous about her first visit. She reassured my mother that she would be in very good hands, which meant a lot to us. After we finished the paperwork, Aida helped us at the front desk. She was kind, patient, and very accommodating with both my mother and me. First impressions are so important when you walk into a doctor’s office, and they truly made ours a positive one. Thank you so much ladies!

I had a great experience at this oral surgery office. The entire team was professional, kind, and efficient from start to finish. Marilyn, the office manager, does an excellent job handling everything and keeping scheduling organized and smooth. Carolyn was also wonderful during check-in friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. Dr Samaniego took the time to explain the procedure clearly and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. I truly appreciated the level of care and attention I received. I highly recommend this office for anyone needing oral surgery!
