Dr. Gardner was very attentive, kind and reassuring throughout the entire experience. I had grafting done and was a bit nervous and she told me what to expect along the way which relieved a lot of my nerves. No pain and very little discomfort. Her assistant was excellent too.

CPW Dentistry, particularly Dr. Piamonte, is my “GO TO” for all my dentistry needs. The moment you walk into their beautiful Upper West Side office, you feel a calm wash over you knowing everything will be just fine. Dr. Piamonte saw me for an emergency visit, made the appointment same day, and he was so knowledgeable and calm — two extractions in under 30 minutes — and felt no pain! A day later, I still have no discomfort. And thankfully, we handled this days before my vacation — now I can really enjoy eating! I’m grateful to live 10 minutes away from such excellence. I had an appointment scheduled and called multiple times beforehand to confirm whether I would owe anything or if my insurance would cover my comprehensive exam. Instead of informing me in advance, the office waited until 8:30 PM the night before my appointment to email me that I would owe $470, even with insurance. When I called the next morning, I was told the charge was primarily for X-rays. I asked if I could provide recent X-rays from my previous dentist, and I was told that would be acceptable. However, my original appointment was at 9:30 AM—the same time my previous dentist’s office opened—making it impossible to obtain them beforehand. Initially, I was told my appointment could not be moved, and staff claimed I had only provided my insurance information three days earlier, which was not true. I had provided my insurance information multiple times and had been waiting months for this appointment. After speaking with the office manager, she rescheduled my appointment to 7:00 PM and told me she would contact my previous dentist to obtain my X-rays. I appreciated her willingness to help at the time. Unfortunately, that effort never materialized. I ultimately obtained the X-rays myself and sent them to the office, but I was then told they were not sufficient and that I would still need new X-rays. The office offered a 20% discount, but I would still have been responsible for approximately $155 out of pocket. The biggest issue for me wasn’t the cost—it was the lack of communication and follow-through. I spent considerable time trying to resolve this in advance, made multiple phone calls, obtained my own records, and still ended up without a workable solution. After this experience, I decided to cancel my appointment. I understand that diagnostic requirements and insurance coverage can vary, but patients deserve clear communication, accurate information, and follow-through on commitments. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here, and I cannot recommend this office based on the way my situation was handled.

Saint Anger Don’t visit the dentist unless absolutely necessary. They are desperate for job security. My last dentist talked me into a root canal and cap which they won’t tell you will instantly give you chronic bad breath and make your mouth hurt constantly with jaw cracking and everything. Don’t cap your teeth. it’s a scam, always choose filling or extraction. Everyone has broken wisdom teeth under their gums and the dentist will refuse to extract. You’ll want amoxicillin 875mg with 125mg of potassium clavulanate, Motrin 3x200mg = 600 mg and 2 325mg regular Tylenol = 650mg. Grape juicy juice for anti oxidant and Tropicana No pulp Orange juice for flush. Don’t leave your kid with the dentist even for a second. The photosynthesis phonetic in the sonogram scan won’t reflect it, they falsify the spectrogram. I came to cpw to get a tooth filled next to my capped tooth and the dentist talked me into two fillings. While filling the tooth next to my capped tooth he drilled a whole in the back of my capped tooth in a hard to reach spot, I even yelled out “wrong tooth” as he was drilling, he didn’t care, acted offended that I called him on it, gave me more numbing medication and continued, “job security” I’m sure. Now I have to get my capped tooth removed because of chronic pain, a capping that cost me $5,000 already. I’m sure they figured I’d be repeating the business, I won’t be. Servicing my cap tooth was marked down for one of my next upcoming visits. He wanted to recap my cap that wasn’t having any wear problems. For two root canals with fillings I ended up spending $2,899.00 on my first visit and $3,655.50 on my second visit which was discounted 10% because I payed in cash.
