Chelmer Village Dental

Have used Chelmer village dental practice for many many years - myself and my children were seen by Joe and when he went private I then saw Mark Glennie who was fantastic , knew his stuff and I trusted him explicitly. I have recently had 3 appointments where I have been in pain and told on first 2 appointments that it was not my teeth causing pain ( I was in agony ) this went on for 6 weeks , I ended up going to Drs as dentist could not help me ( I was in tears , the pain was taking over my life I was off work sick and Dr was treating me for trigeminal neuralgia ) I knew the pain was from a tooth not TN . I ended up going back to dentist begging to have filling replaced as perhaps that might help , she was very doubtful but said she would do it . I was numbed up and when she started drilling the pain was so intense I couldn’t take it / 3 injections later I was told the tooth was a “hot” tooth and too inflamed to be treated as I simply couldn’t handle the pain anymore, finally I was given antibiotics after 6 weeks of being in agony and told nothing wrong with teeth. The x rays I had done previously with this dentist I showed to another dentist who could clearly see infection . My tooth was in fact cracked and broken , I had to have further antibiotics and then tooth removed . I had instant relief once extracted. The treatment I received from Chelmer village dental has been awful , I was disbelieved 3 times , had unnecessary medication from Drs for condition I didn’t even have and on my last appointment at this dentist I was left in a terrible state and excruciating pain, told to go back week after where she would try again . I would never trust this dentist ever again after this .

I just want to say , I know I am unable to get on nhs which is a little sad. But my goodness the treatment I had here has been phenomenal!!!! I am an anxious person and was put at ease within minutes of entering Dr Joe Ballentyne Office. Thank you so much ! You Don’t know how much it means to people who have a fear of dentists to be able to have such fabulous bedside manners. I would rate this dentist practice one of the best I have ever been to. Gosia and her assistant were amazing! Reception staff are always really helpful. Can't recommend them enough. Came in with an ice hockey injury to my front two teeth and walked out with a better smile than I had before the injury. Thank you

I have been using Chelmer Village Dental since I first came to the Village 10 years ago! The team have always looked after me and I am always made to feel welcomed. I saw Jenny recently for my hygienist appointment and I had the airflow treatment conducted. Absolutely unreal! The airflow has made my teeth feel like they have been deeply scrubbed. They feel so clean and certainly whiter! Thanks again for your excellent care and service!
