About Cheyenne Mountain Dental Care

Based on B Street in the Southeast Colorado Springs area of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Cheyenne Mountain Dental Care is a dental practice serving the area. General dentistry covers the routine and restorative care most people need most often — examinations, cleanings, fillings, and preventive checks that catch problems while they are still small and inexpensive to treat. Regular attendance, roughly every six months for most patients, is what makes that early-catch approach actually work.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward. Dr. Parkin is super professional and makes you feel heard and seen. Jessica and one other dental assistant were SUPER rude and SUPER unprofessional. I had gotten fast braces at this establishment. Every time i came in for a check up, Jessica would be the main person to look at my brackets and move some things around after taking the doctors orders. Every single time she touched my teeth, brackets would pop off as soon as i left the parking lot, NO EXAGGERATION. So much so i’d have to literally turn right back around to have someone put them back on. I made sure to take care of my braces, so obviously this was very exhausting. Now, back to Jessica, she would LITERALLY be in the hallways complaining about not wanting to work on me and throwing fits. That’s not okay, if you hate your job, go do something else. I was always very quiet/polite person Hopefully no one else has to deal with her nasty attitude.

I've been going to this practice since I was a kid for over 30 years now. Dr. Parkin is a top-notch dentist who is honest, great with patients, and provides effective care. The office is clean and the staff are kind. I disagree with the (few) negative reviews, and I think those reviews tell me more about the person writing the review than about this dental practice. If you want an excellent dentist who is kind, honest, and has lots of experience, don't hesitate to give this dental office a try.

Am so glad to come to a right place! Reasonable prices plus 25 percent off holiday. Yay!! That helps! I really really appreciate Raquel for being helpful and kindness by explaining everything greatly! We communicated via text messages forth and back. Thanks so much Raquel ❤️😊. I would highly recommend everyone to that place. I like their front room near the desk. Cozy and very nice along Xmas tree and other things. Neat!! Ralph is a nice fellow with gestures warmly.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at my recent dental appointment. From the moment I stepped in, the staff greeted me with genuine warmth and friendliness, making me feel comfortable and valued. The dentist took the time to explain everything in detail, educating me about my oral health and the best practices to maintain it. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, which really helped ease any nerves I had. Raquel was extremely friendly and helpful with helping me understand my insurance benefits!! Overall, it was a positive, informative, and caring visit that left me feeling confident about my dental health.

Probably the worst place in Colorado Springs. I spent at least 2k at this place. Everything I’ve had done, failed. From enamel buildup to crowns, to partial dentures.Multiple dentists that contradict each other. Dental assistants are straight out of school and very unprofessional. Office staff are aren’t too bright either. Billing and appointment errors are the norm. Do yourself a favor and find a different place. Also beware of the homeless population living behind the building.
