About ClearChoice Dental Implant Center - Arlington

West Mitchell Street runs along the south edge of the University of Texas at Arlington, and the ClearChoice center at 1001 West Mitchell sits in that pocket of central Arlington between Cooper Street and Davis Drive, with its own free parking. From I-30 or I-20 it is a straight run down Cooper, which makes it reachable for patients coming from Pantego, Dalworthington Gardens, Grand Prairie and Mansfield as much as for Arlington residents. Doors open at 7:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday, with a Friday that closes at 3:00.

What distinguishes this center is that it does one category of dentistry and staffs it accordingly. Prosthodontists Dr. Jennifer Kim and Dr. Karona Tum handle the design and the teeth; oral surgeons Dr. Herman Kao, Dr. John Stella and Dr. Fayette Williams handle the surgical side. Full-arch treatment follows four stages. A consultation with a 3D CBCT scan measures bone volume and locates the sinus and the nerve, so the plan rests on your anatomy rather than an average. On procedure day, failing teeth are removed, implants are placed, and a fixed provisional arch is often fitted the same day. Then comes osseointegration, the months in which bone grows onto the implant surfaces while you eat softly and let biology work. The permanent teeth are built last of all, at the point where the gum contour has stopped shifting and what the technician measures today will still be accurate a year from now.

Beyond full-arch cases, the center places single-tooth implants and implant dentures, and performs bone grafting and gum treatment where a site is not yet ready to receive an implant.

The honest limitation is scope. This is not a general dental office. There are no routine cleanings, fillings or children's checkups here, so you keep your own dentist for everything outside implant treatment. If most of your teeth are sound and one is failing, a general practice may serve you better and cost you less. If you are facing an arch of failing teeth and want the surgical and prosthetic sides working in the same building on the same day, that is precisely the model this center is built on.

The ClearChoice center at 1001 West Mitchell Street sits on the south edge of the UT Arlington campus with free parking, a straight run down Cooper Street from I-30 or I-20. Prosthodontists and oral surgeons work in the same building on full-arch implants, implant dentures, single-tooth implants, bone grafting and gum treatment, all planned from a 3D CBCT scan, with a fixed provisional arch often fitted on procedure day. Note the scope: implants only, so routine cleanings and fillings stay with your own dentist.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are cleanings and fillings available at this location?
No. The Arlington center treats implant cases only: full-arch restorations, implant dentures, single implants, and the grafting or gum work that prepares a site. Routine hygiene visits, fillings, children's dentistry and orthodontics stay with your general dentist, and that relationship is worth keeping even during implant treatment. If you do not currently have a general dentist, it is worth finding one before the final restoration is delivered.
Do I leave with teeth on the day of surgery?
Often, yes. A fixed provisional arch is commonly fitted the same day the implants are placed, so you do not go home without teeth. That provisional is deliberately not the finished product: it is lighter, and you eat a soft diet while bone integrates with the implant surfaces over the following months. The definitive restoration is made afterwards, once healing has stabilized the gum contours around each implant.
Why is a CBCT scan taken at the consultation?
A standard dental x-ray is flat, and implant planning is not. A cone beam scan produces a three-dimensional map of the jaw showing bone height and width, the position of the inferior alveolar nerve, and the floor of the sinus. That determines whether implants can be placed directly, whether grafting or a sinus lift is needed first, and how many fixtures the bone can carry, which is also what drives the cost estimate.

Virginia was my attending dental assistant. She was so genuinely respectful and responsible with my visit. I was coming in to have Doctor Tum review and evaluate the healing progress of my dental implants. I had some questions prepared and Virginia was very professional with providing me the answers I needed. I really appreciate the true care for my needs during my visit. Getting Dental Implants is a big step to take. I wasn't nervous or worried. Virginia and Doctor Tum were very attentive to making sure I was heard and well informed of the next steps to take until my next appointment. P.S. I like my smile very much.

I highly recommend Clear Choice in Arlington, Tx. The whole process was really easy The staff made me very comfortable. I was anxious about the surgery and recovery. Which both went really smooth. I was never happy with my smile prior. So I had my procedure done about 10 years ago and still no issues. I come in for my cleanings and staff is still so courteous and professional. I have recommended others and they are also very pleased with their outcome. This was the best money I ever spent!!

I Met my new prosthodontist today, Dr. Tum, And she was very nice and showed great attention to detail of my teeth. My hygienist, Virginia, is very pleasant. She always asks about my family. We talk about her family and whatever is going on in the world. She also pays a great attention to detail. I am very pleased with my new zirconia implants.
