About ClearChoice Dental Implant Center - Columbia

Some people turn up to a full-arch consultation carrying a denture in a napkin. It has been relined twice, it still rocks on anything more demanding than pasta, and adhesive has become a daily calculation. Others arrive with their own teeth still in place but several of them condemned: mobile, abscessed, or held together by decades of patchwork. Both groups face the same decision, and it is a large one. Keep repairing teeth individually, or move to a fixed arch anchored on implants.

The Columbia ClearChoice center is organized around that single decision rather than around general dentistry. Evaluation starts with a 3D CBCT scan alongside X-rays and photographs, which is how the team judges whether enough bone remains and where the sinuses and nerve canals sit. Surgical and restorative work happen in the same building: Dr. Jennine Jarrett handles the prosthodontic side, with oral surgeons including Dr. Phillip McIver, Dr. J. Reed Combs, Dr. Natoya Reid and Dr. Andrew Mathis, and an on-site laboratory fabricates the prosthesis. For patients who qualify, provisional teeth are placed the same day as surgery. The final restoration follows after a healing period the center describes as roughly two to six months. Premium full-arch zirconia cases carry a lifetime warranty on the material.

Practical detail before you book. The center is at 5900 Waterloo Road in Kendall Ridge, just off Route 175 on Columbia's east side, with free parking on site and an easy approach from Elkridge, Jessup, Laurel and the Route 100 corridor. Hours run Monday through Thursday, 7am to 5pm, and the office is closed Friday through the weekend, so every consultation, surgical date and follow-up has to fit inside a weekday. That 7am start is the useful part for anyone trying to be finished before the workday begins.

Be realistic about scope. Full-arch implant treatment is a surgical commitment and a significant financial one. Financing is offered, but the quote moves with bone volume, whether extractions and grafting are required, and the material chosen for the final bridge. Ask in writing what the number includes and what it does not.

The Columbia ClearChoice center on Waterloo Road works on one problem: replacing failing or missing teeth with implant-anchored arches. Evaluation begins with a 3D CBCT scan, and oral surgeons, a prosthodontist and a fabrication laboratory all sit in the same building, so provisional teeth can be placed the same day for patients who qualify. Final restorations follow a two-to-six-month healing period, with a lifetime material warranty on premium zirconia arches. Hours are Monday to Thursday, 7am to 5pm, with free parking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I leave with teeth on the day of surgery?
For patients who qualify, yes. A provisional fixed prosthesis is placed the same day the implants go in, so you do not go home without teeth. It is a temporary set designed for the healing phase rather than for the long term. The final restoration is made once bone has integrated around the implants, which the center describes as roughly two to six months depending on how you heal.
Who actually performs the treatment at this center?
The work splits across two disciplines under one roof. Oral surgeons, including Dr. Phillip McIver, Dr. J. Reed Combs, Dr. Natoya Reid and Dr. Andrew Mathis, handle extractions, grafting and implant placement. Dr. Jennine Jarrett, a prosthodontist, designs and fits the prosthesis, supported by an on-site laboratory. That arrangement means adjustments to the teeth can be made without shipping the case out to an external lab.
The office is closed Fridays and weekends. How should I plan appointments?
Hours run Monday through Thursday, 7am to 5pm, so consultations, surgery and follow-ups all have to sit inside a weekday. The 7am start is the practical workaround for people who cannot lose a whole day. Any appointment involving sedation also needs a driver and a recovery day afterward, so block the calendar before booking rather than after. Parking at the Waterloo Road building is free.

Had my first consult with Sherri Owens at 745am this morning. Sherri was very nice, passionate and very professional. Sherri DID not use any pushy tactics with me and was very informative regarding the 1 implant needed . I also met with Dr. Davidson, she was upfront and did not play the fear factor card. I have decided to go ahead and have the one implant done due to my cracked tooth that could not be saved.
