About ClearChoice Dental Implant Center - San Antonio

Two prosthodontists and an oral surgeon staff this San Antonio centre, and that arrangement is the whole architecture of the model — the clinician who places implants in bone and the clinician who designs the teeth sitting on them work in the same building, on the same case, without a referral letter travelling between offices. Dr. Paul McLornan leads the prosthodontic side and holds an adjunct assistant professor appointment at UT Health Science Center. Dr. Villa Guillory is a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists. Prosthodontics is a three-year specialty beyond dental school devoted entirely to replacing teeth, which is worth knowing when you compare quotes against practices that do not have one on staff.

The consultation is the part to prepare for. It typically covers a walk through your medical history, dental X-rays, a 3D CBCT scan, digital photographs and impressions where needed, and it ends with a written treatment plan and cost estimate rather than a spoken range. The CBCT matters more than it sounds: it shows bone volume and density in three dimensions, which determines whether implants can be placed where teeth used to be, whether grafting is required first, and how close the sinus or nerve canal sits to each planned site. Take the written estimate home with you. Full-arch implant treatment is a large commitment both financially and biologically, and a plan you can read at the kitchen table is far easier to weigh than one described across a desk.

On payment, be clear-eyed. This centre does not accept direct payment from insurance carriers. It issues an all-inclusive invoice you submit yourself for any reimbursement your plan allows, and it offers third-party financing along with an Insurance Assurance programme. If your policy only pays in-network providers, budget on that basis rather than assuming coverage will land later.

The address is 14100 San Pedro Avenue in Uptown Central, between Bitters Road and Brook Hollow Boulevard just off Highway 281, with free visitor parking on site. That makes it an easy stop heading south from Stone Oak or north from Loop 410, and awkward from the west or south sides at rush hour. Doors open at 7:30 Monday through Thursday, with a shorter Friday that finishes mid-afternoon.

A dedicated implant centre on San Pedro Avenue in Uptown Central, staffed by prosthodontists Dr. Paul McLornan and Dr. Villa Guillory alongside an oral surgeon, so surgical placement and the finished teeth are planned in the same building. Consultations include 3D CBCT imaging and end with a written cost estimate. The centre does not bill insurance carriers directly, issuing an all-inclusive invoice instead, with third-party financing available. Free parking, just off Highway 281 between Bitters Road and Brook Hollow Boulevard.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this centre bill my dental insurance directly?
No. The San Antonio centre does not accept direct payment from insurance carriers. You receive an all-inclusive invoice after treatment that you can submit to your plan yourself for whatever reimbursement it allows. Third-party financing is available, and there is an Insurance Assurance programme as well. If your coverage only pays in-network providers, plan your budget on the assumption that reimbursement may be partial or slow.
What actually happens at the first appointment?
Expect a substantial visit rather than a quick look. It covers your medical history, dental X-rays, a 3D CBCT scan, digital photographs and impressions where they are needed, taken in one sitting. The scan is the important part, because it maps bone volume and the position of your sinuses and nerve canals in three dimensions. You leave with a written treatment plan and a cost estimate rather than a verbal figure to remember.
Why does having prosthodontists and an oral surgeon in one building matter?
Because implant treatment has two halves that have to agree with each other. The surgeon decides where posts can safely go in bone; the prosthodontist decides where teeth need to sit for your bite and appearance. When both clinicians share a building and a case, the surgical plan is built around the finished result instead of being handed over afterwards. It also cuts down on appointments spread across separate offices.

Because of some unique body chemistry, I go in every six months for a checkup. Each time the staff and doctors are professional, efficient and on top of my issues. I recommend them whenever possible. Or, i am a happy camper!

I could sit here and write about how helpful the back office staff are. How professional the medical staff are. How knowledgeable the doctors are. How skillfully magnificent the surgeons are. This is to be expected and my standards and experience may differ from yours, but there is one thing I can say that applies to anyone reading this, "TREAT YOURSELF!". If you are online looking at reviews, there is a reason. I would highly suggest that if an individual would like to save themselves a lot of time, money, pain, embarrassment, they should just reach out to these guys first. Life is too short to be living under circumstances that can easily be changed. Again, if you are reading reviews, you know what I mean. After dealing with multiple-dentists, periodontists, insurance companies (what a mess); it became a very "CLEAR CHOICE" to me. Do yourself a favor, take the time out to listen to these guys and the services they can provide. They do deliver as promised and the outcome has been priceless.

I just completed my temporary implants this afternoon. I am extremely pleased with the outcome. The whole rocess was pleasant. Staffs were extraordinary. They were extremely professional, patient and most of all patient. I highly recommend ClaerChoice for anyone's dental implants. I was afraid at first because I'm diabetic, but they made me feel so comfortable that I became very relaxed. The staffs were absolutely amazing.

I had an outstanding experience at ClearChoice. From the moment I walked in, Esmeralda and Jackie at the front desk made me feel genuinely welcomed. They were warm, attentive, and incredibly professional. Anita, the technician, was just as wonderful—kind, patient, and thorough. She explained everything clearly and made the entire appointment comfortable from start to finish. Dr. Paul was exceptional as well. His professionalism, care, and attention to detail went far beyond what I normally expect at a dental visit. It’s rare to find a team that works so seamlessly together and treats patients with this level of kindness and respect. I’m truly grateful for the entire staff. They exceeded every expectation, and I highly recommend ClearChoice to anyone looking for top‑tier care.

The decision to move forward with full-mouth double arch implants was not one I took lightly. I spent over two years researching procedures, success and failure rates, attending seven different consultations with both large and small practices, and joining multiple social media groups to learn from others who had gone through the process. Everything changed the day I walked into ClearChoice Dental in San Antonio. From the moment I met Kirstin Rutkoski, I knew I was in the right place. She is an absolute gem and exactly the kind of person you want guiding you through such an important decision. Kirstin greeted me with warmth and professionalism and immediately put me at ease. It was clear she genuinely loves what she does. She patiently answered every question I had and, most importantly, made me feel truly cared for as a person—not just a patient. I then met with Dr. McLornan, who reviewed my scans, listened to my story, and worked alongside Kirstin to create a plan that felt perfectly tailored to me. He is one of the kindest and most compassionate doctors I have ever encountered. From that moment, I knew I was in exceptional hands. I had my surgery this week, and everything went exactly as I had been prepared for. The surgical team was incredible—kind, attentive, and focused on making sure I was comfortable and pain-free every step of the way. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this group of professionals who made me feel safe, supported, and confident throughout the entire process. Thank you to everyone involved for making what could have been an overwhelming experience feel so reassuring and positive. I am beyond grateful.

The staff at Clear Choice are excellent. Very friendly and very knowledgable in their areas of responsibility. On my first visit, I met with Dr. McClornan. Because I was a referral from an oral surgeon, Dr McClornan had carefully studied the information provided to him by the surgeon. Due to bone loss on my upper arch, he had some concerns that I would be unable to receive a zygomatic implant. I appreciated his honesty. But good news! Both Dr. McClornan and Dr. Olsen were able to successfully implant the implants and I am very pleased with the outcome. Kudos, appreciation and forever gratitude to my doctors and to Clear Choice, Alison Mays 01/28/2026
