I had a wonderful experience at Columbia Center. From my initial consultation through the completion of my treatment, Dr. Jose was incredible. He listened carefully to my initial concerns, answered all of my questions, and developed a treatment plan that clearly outlined everything from start to finish. What stood out was how thoughtfully and thoroughly everything was explained. The entire team was professional, compassionate and attentive and I always felt like my comfort and well-being were a priority. I needed an extraction of a failed root canal followed by a dental implant, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Dr. Jose took the time to make sure I was comfortable. I never felt rushed or unsure about what to expect. Now that my treatment is complete, I am extremely happy with my new implant. I truly appreciate the level of care, patience, and expertise I received throughout the process. I highly recommend this office to anyone needing an extraction, dental implant, or periodontal care. They made what could have been a stressful experience feel smooth, comfortable, and reassuring from start to finish!
Excellent facility and care for getting an implant. The staff is very courteous. The procedure rooms are private and separated by glass doors and walls. I would definitely recommend this place if you need a dental implant. My only criticism is that the chairs in the waiting room aren't the most comfortable.
It was nice until it wasn’t. They took my $350. Took my scan gave me a treatment plan with pricing. Dr. Jose texted me and when I texted back he NEVER responded. Then I texted him again to follow up because he asked me via text if it was a good time to talk. I told him yes. Never heard back from him. Called the office and they had me on hold for like 8 minutes. Told me the office manager would call me for sure on the same day. That was over a week ago I never heard from the office manager nor the Doctor. They’re more money hungry anything. So I wouldn’t trust them to perform ANY work on my mouth. I got a new referral elsewhere.
Not handicap accessible in the least. No handicap parking spots near the “handicap entrance” and horrible staff responses to accessibility needs.
No matter how on time you are, they still make you wait for hours after your appointment time. If you cannot manage the schedule properly, then don’t book so many patients at the same time. I’ve been coming here for years, so I’m not even a new patient. I’m being treated for bone loss in my teeth, and the experience has become very frustrating. They put a splint on my teeth that keeps coming off, and instead of fixing the issue properly, they just keep patching it over and over. It has gotten so thick that my family dentist even commented that it’s too bulky and difficult to clean correctly. Long wait times, poor time management, and temporary fixes instead of real solutions. Very disappointing for a long-term patient.
I visited Columbia Center for Implants & Periodontics (10490 Little Patuxent Pkwy #280, Columbia, MD) for a new patient periodontics consultation on March 4th, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. My appointment was scheduled for 9:30 AM, but I waited in the lobby for about 2 hours, repeatedly asking the front desk when I would be seen. After the wait, I was finally taken inside where the dental assistant asked the usual intake questions. They did offer me a bottle of water at that time, which I appreciated. However, I then waited another hour before the doctor came in. The doctor reviewed my CBCT scan, measured my gum pockets, and told me that four teeth needed to be extracted as soon as possible. When I started asking questions, I was told the dental assistant would answer them, and the doctor left the room. Right after that, the dental assistant handed me post-op paperwork, which was confusing since I had not even seen a treatment plan yet. When I asked where the treatment plan and cost estimate were, I was told the front desk would give it to me. At the front desk, instead of giving me the treatment plan or showing what my insurance would cover, they immediately asked when I wanted to schedule the procedure. I explained that I wanted to review the treatment plan and costs with insurance first. I was told they would call me with the details. It has now been a few days, and I have received no call, no email, and no treatment plan. In total, the visit took more than 3 hours, most of which was spent waiting. I was also told the consultation would cost $350. I asked them to run it through my insurance first. They said insurance usually does not cover it but that they would submit the claim and refund me if insurance paid. As of now, I do not see any claim submitted to my insurance. I also emailed the office asking for a copy of my dental records under HIPAA, and I have not received any response. Overall, the experience was frustrating because of the long wait times, lack of communication, and no follow-up after the visit. If it were possible, I would remove even the one star that is required to post this review. I will update this review if I receive any follow-up or updates from the office.
A few months ago I had bone grafting and 2 implants done at the Columbia Center for Implants @ the Town Center location. Walking through the double doors into a bright spacious waiting room, you are greeted by the organized front desk staff who are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Dr Jose's high standards and expertise show in his work. He is also very caring asking if you are ok through the whole procedure making sure you are comfortable. Dr Jose and is entire team are very knowledgeable and show great professionalism. I highly recommend Dr Jose for dental Implants and related services. You'll be very happy you did. Thank you Dr Jose and team!
I am a fairly new patient. I am having full implants and I hope it goes well because I paid for everything months ago. PROS: Kind and professional staff. They welcome you when you come in for an appointment. CONS: Too many. The office manager pushed and pushed me about paying in November or the cost would go up. I had to ask several times for a treatment plan. The center and the dentists don't like to take the time to explain things to you. When I asked Dr. Chon, he seemed annoyed. I'm sure he's competent but he's very hyper and rushed. God forbid the guy answers a question that you ask and you don't understand something. I feel like I paid the money and now they don't care. After having my teeth pulled out I found out that now I only see dental assistants--- not what I want at all. I didn't pay nearly $40K for have this happen. Appointments and waiting: It's endless and embarrassing. You have no idea who you will be seeing and if you have an 11 am appointment, you will wait for an hour or more. It's very unprofessional. I believe this office takes on too many clients. People really complain about the wait and the lack of communication in the waiting room. Everyone seems irritated.
