Took my grandson for a yearly exam 09/02/26 and Emoni was great and my grandson felt very comfortable with her taking care of him. He said she had very light hands

I wasn't treated well. I had to wait two hours, and then they just left me sitting there while they chatted amongst themselves. They just left me waiting to see when they were going to serve me. I got bored and left. They said, "Oh, sorry," or "Is it because I'm Latina?" or "Because I don't speak English?" or "Because of my skin color?" What's wrong with that? They have to serve all customers, no matter what. So I don't recommend this place to Hispanic people because they treat us like we're beneath them.

Dr. Weir and his dental hygienist Becca are absolutely amazing, I’ve suffered from dental anxiety since childhood and would often avoid going to the dentist for as long as possible, sometimes years. Since finding Dr. Weir and Becca, I never miss a cleaning. I’m also no longer afraid to call if I’m experiencing pain or sensitivity. They are both super friendly and helpful. I’ll never go anywhere else!

had a wonderful experience with Dr. Johnson and the entire team. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and professional. The dentist explained every step of the procedure, answered all my questions, and made sure I was comfortable. The office was clean and organized, and I received exceptional care. We recently returned to Comfort Dental – South Powers for another appointment for my 4-year-old daughter, and I am happy to say the experience reminded us why our family has trusted this office for over 10 years. From the moment we walked in, every team member we interacted with treated my daughter with patience, kindness, and genuine care. They made her feel comfortable throughout the visit, and the entire appointment was smooth and positive. I especially want to recognize Lili, who has truly been a blessing throughout this process. From the very beginning, she has been compassionate, understanding, and incredibly supportive. She listened to our concerns without judgment, showed genuine empathy during what was a stressful situation for our family, and consistently went above and beyond to help us navigate our options. Her kindness and willingness to help never went unnoticed, and she deserves to be recognized for the exceptional care she provides to patients and their families. This visit reminded us that our earlier concerns were specific to that experience and not reflective of the entire team. We’ve always had wonderful experiences with the front desk, dental assistants, and the office overall. They work great with our Delta Dental insurance, and that’s why this experience was so heartbreaking. Our 4-year-old daughter recently needed treatment for her first two cavities. We were initially referred for sedation, but our insurance left us with a $1,500 out-of-pocket cost that simply wasn’t possible for our family. Thankfully, Lili was amazing. She was kind, compassionate, and helped us arrange an in-office option that our insurance would fully cover. She truly deserves recognition. We prepared our daughter as best we could for her appointment. She did great with the laughing gas, the numbing gel, and even choosing her Netflix show. But when the numbing injection started, she became scared—as many 4-year-olds experiencing this for the first time would. The pediatric dentist immediately stopped, removed the laughing gas, told me, “This is why I don’t do these things awake. The only way to help her is under sedation,” and walked out of the room. I completely understand that not every child is a candidate for in-office treatment, and I respect the decision to stop if he felt it wasn’t appropriate to continue. What hurt was the complete lack of empathy afterward. My daughter was crying, terrified, and clinging to me, yet the dentist never checked on her or tried to comfort her before leaving. Thankfully, the dental assistant stayed with us, showed genuine compassion, and listened while I comforted my daughter. I’m incredibly grateful for her kindness. Pediatric dentistry requires patience. Young children are unpredictable, especially during their very first cavity treatment. Sometimes families simply cannot afford sedation, no matter how much we’d like to choose that option. I only wish there had been a little more patience—a chance to speak with each other and let my daughter calm down before deciding there was no other option. This review isn’t meant to erase the many positive experiences we’ve had over the past decade. It’s meant to encourage a little more empathy, patience, and communication when treating young children who are scared and experiencing something new for the first time. Those few extra moments of reassurance can make all the difference—not only for the child sitting in the chair, but for the parent putting their trust in your team.

I am beyond disgusted by this dental practice. Becky, the dental assistant who did my fillings, was the only kind person I interacted with, so if anyone deserves praise, it’s her! I went in on Tuesday morning for an emergency dental appointment. They did the exam, and we came up with a plan on how to proceed with my dental pain along with other treatment plans. However, they stated I couldn’t have anything done today. We also discussed sedation options, and Dr. Johnson stated he would get me oral sedation for the procedures due to my very large amount of dental anxiety. I understand I had neglected my dental care for a very long time, and a lot of things needed to be done, but I was shocked they sent me out the door with nothing but a couple prescriptions. Fast forward to last night. I come in for the procedure of 2 tooth extractions and 2 fillings, even though what was on my treatment plan was 2 extractions and a root canal. I only received nitrous oxide, and they did not do their due diligence with numbing me appropriately. I felt the entire extraction, not just the pressure, but intense sharp pain. I was raising my hand letting them know I could feel everything, and they didn’t stop. I was crying and screaming. After the whole ordeal, I literally got home and spent the next few hours crying, because of how much worse they made my dental anxiety. At this point, it has turned into a complete dental phobia. Shame on you guys. I’m literally broken from this experience. Btw, my friend accompanied me to both, and she was absolutely disturbed by everything written above as well. I will be going to her dental office starting in August. Also, very weird that when I called to cancel my next appointments with Dr. Johnson, he decided to call and check on me. Convenient.

I hate dentist over the years!! I dont have that perfect smile. So the judging scares me. But today I want to shout out Leti!!! She is amazing. She made me feel welcomed and comfortable! I didnt feel judge at all. And she did great during the wait and also through the entire thing! So Leti!! I truly appreciate your kindness and great treatment through everything. I was able to not feel nervous! And everything was explained great! She was very gentle and professional! Dr. Budge was great as well! Very gentle hands and very welcoming and understanding!
