About Comfort Dental - Windsor Hills

Comfort Dental - Windsor Hills operates on Northwest 23rd Street in the Central Oklahoma City area of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Emergency dental care covers sudden problems that will not wait for a routine appointment — severe pain, a knocked-out or fractured tooth, swelling, or a lost filling that leaves a tooth exposed. Same-day or urgent appointments are the point of an emergency service, rather than the standard multi-week booking window.

Sedation dentistry uses inhaled, oral, or intravenous options to help patients relax through treatment, ranging from nitrous oxide for mild anxiety through to deeper sedation for longer or more involved procedures. It is commonly used for patients who have avoided the dentist for years due to fear.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave. What days is Comfort Dental - Windsor Hills open?
Comfort Dental - Windsor Hills is open Monday through Saturday. Contact the practice through this page to confirm current appointment times before travelling.
What services does Comfort Dental - Windsor Hills offer?

What should I do if a tooth gets knocked out?
Pick the tooth up by the crown rather than the root, rinse it gently without scrubbing, and try to place it back in the socket. If that is not possible, keep it in milk and get to a dentist quickly — the chances of saving it drop sharply after the first hour.
What sedation options are available at the dentist?
Commonly inhaled sedation, oral sedatives taken beforehand, and intravenous sedation for more involved cases. They differ in depth and in how long the effects last, so what is offered depends on the treatment and the practice.
Will I be unconscious under dental sedation?
Usually not. Most dental sedation leaves you conscious but deeply relaxed, often with little memory of the procedure afterward. General anaesthesia, where you are fully unconscious, is reserved for specific circumstances.

My husband had a broken tooth that had been causing him extreme pain over the last week. He had been to two other dentists and an urgent care and nobody would help him. He made an appointment with Comfort Dental and they got him in the same day, they were able to treat him and get his broken tooth pulled and he is feeling sooo much better! Thank you to the staff and Dentists at this location that took such good care of him! I’m happy to have my husband back to normal and feeling better. I’m editing this to say, I also had a broken tooth that needed to get fixed and Dr. Layton, his assistant and the whole staff took such great care of me! They were patient with me the whole time, if something didn’t feel quite right Dr. Layton immediately stopped what he was doing and made sure I was numb and more comfortable before he kept going. They really took their time with me. My bridge I got came out amazing! It looks exactly like my natural teeth, you can’t even tell! I was shocked at how good they got everything to match. I will definitely continue to go to this office for all my dental needs, and that’s saying a lot because I’m terrified of the dentist! Great job once again!!

my honest opinion. I was there at 5:40 my appointment was 6 for my daughter and I. My daughter is 6 so her appointment didnt take long. She didnt get seen to almost 6:30. I do understand unforseen things happen in Dental offices that delays things because I work in healthcare. But, every patient should still be accommodated due to any discrepancy. Everytime I been to comfort dental I was able to get seen with my daughter at the same time. By the time I was able to get seen I only got to get xray. Doc said he cant do filling because we are closed now. I was okay with that but I didnt even get to get a clean. The staff was friendly along with the doctor. But was a complete waste of time they should of cancelled my appointment if they weren’t going to be able to give me a clean that comes with new patient appointment. I have private insurance so its costs when I go so to have to come back was very disheartening. Ive always gone to comfort dental due to my work schedule. I will not be back. This is my first time going to dentist and not getting a clean with my xray. If you have medicaid and need walk ins, more flexibility, and don't mind having multiple visits this place is for you.

My experience at Comfort Dental was positive and enjoyable. Everyone I interacted with was so friendly and professional. Katia was quick with the full x-ray process. Usually X-rays hurt my mouth but she did an excellent job and nothing hurt. I was so impressed with Dr. Layton’s gentle manner. I absolutely did not feel any discomfort. He is an excellent dentist. I felt so well cared for which is really important to me. I will be back!
