About Community Dental Care of Kentucky - Louisville

Community Dental Care of Kentucky - Louisville is located at 3438 Taylor Boulevard in Louisville, Kentucky — a community dental practice on the Taylor Boulevard corridor of south Louisville in Jefferson County ZIP 40215, serving a population that benefits from accessible, affordably priced dental care in one of Louisville Metro's working-class south-side communities. Taylor Boulevard (U.S. Route 31W) runs south from downtown Louisville through the Iroquois Park area toward the Bullitt County line, and the 3438 address sits in the south Louisville commercial zone serving the adjacent residential neighborhoods. Iroquois Park — one of Frederick Law Olmsted's great Louisville park designs — lies nearby, giving the Taylor Boulevard corridor a strong park-adjacent neighborhood identity that mixes residential stability with the community service infrastructure typical of south Louisville's established neighborhoods.

Community Dental Care of Kentucky provides accessible dental services for Louisville's south-side communities including patients with Medicaid coverage, lower-income households, and families seeking affordable dental access in a Jefferson County community where the patient demographics include a significant proportion of uninsured or underinsured residents. The "Community Dental Care of Kentucky" organizational name suggests a statewide network or mission-driven dental organization — consistent with the Madisonville location using the same "Community Dental Care" branding — that prioritizes accessible dental care for underserved populations across multiple Kentucky communities. Core dental services include comprehensive oral examinations, professional dental cleanings, dental radiographs, and restorative procedures at pricing calibrated for community access rather than market-rate dental fees.

Taylor Boulevard's south Louisville position provides TARC bus transit access along the Route 31W corridor and vehicle accessibility from I-65's south Louisville interchange and from the Outer Loop and Preston Highway connections serving Jefferson County's south end. The south Louisville community's dental needs are also served by the University of Louisville's School of Dentistry (ULSD) on the Health Sciences Campus, which provides dental education and community dental care for Louisville's patient population. Specialist dental referrals for complex needs point to the Louisville metro's full dental specialist network.

For south Louisville and Jefferson County patients seeking accessible community dental care on Taylor Boulevard, Community Dental Care of Kentucky at 3438 provides dental services with the community access model appropriate for working-class south-side Louisville neighborhoods.

I have seen Dr Martino twice now and go back to him on December 18th 2020 at 8 a.m. he is the only dentist I have dealt with and he is a consummate professional who has a genuine care for his patients as well as a highly developed skill set. As a student, I have Medicaid , but I have had Aetna when working at UPS for 5 years (great dental insurance there) and Dr. Martino is still by far the best Dentist I’ve had. I’m 31 and I’ve been going to dentists for over 25 years so that says a lot.

I just called this office to set up an emergency appointment for my boyfriend. And the woman that answered the phone was very rude and has absolutely no compassion at all!! They do NOT do emergency appointments even tho the website and the overview says they do!!! I would NEVER go to this office!!!!

I have used Community Dental in the past and always got great immediate service. I called today and was told that they were full??? and they could schedule a phone interview with a doctor on the 27th ????? Then get a appointment scheduled for the dental work. I planned on spending around 700 today but now I'm forced to go elsewhere. Maybe permanently because they are to busy for appointments to be same day.

Went in with an emergency tooth fracture. Had a bit of a long wait (to be expected as a walk-in/same day appointment) I was seen within the hour and the tooth causing me pain was extracted quickly and efficiently. Would definitely recommend this office to others. Edit: They accept state Medicare

I had a fantastic experience here. The dentist and staff treated me like a human being with compassion and care. The dentist wasn't brutal during my procedure, made sure I had adequate comfort and numbness, and the staff were really comforting. I had an extraction and she did such a great job my face wasn't swollen at all. I would recommend this dental practice to anyone. I will be back for all future dental work.
