About Community Smiles Dental Clinic

Allapattah is a historically Latin neighborhood in northwest Miami, adjacent to Wynwood to the east and the health district to the south. Northwest 20th Street runs east-west through the neighborhood, and Suite 110 at 750 NW 20th Street places Community Smiles Dental Clinic in a commercial space in ZIP 33127 — a community that has seen increasing development pressure as Wynwood's growth has pushed outward, while maintaining its dense residential character and Latin community roots.

The name "Community Smiles" signals the practice's orientation: a neighborhood dental provider positioned for accessibility and community service rather than premium-market positioning. Allapattah's resident population is largely working-class and Latin American, a demographic served well by a local general dental practice that provides routine care without requiring patients to travel to downtown Miami or Brickell for appointments.

General dentistry covers the essential scope of preventive and restorative dental care: professional cleanings that remove tartar buildup between home care sessions, X-rays to identify decay and structural problems beneath the surface, fillings for cavities at early stages, and the ongoing examination routine that keeps teeth healthy over the long term. For a community like Allapattah's, where consistent dental care access has not always been readily available, a neighborhood practice that provides these foundational services is a genuine community health asset.

The NW 20th Street location in Allapattah is accessible by car from the surrounding neighborhood and from the health district to the south, where Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami Health System create a medical employment base whose workers represent potential patients for local dental providers. Miami-Dade Transit bus routes serving the Allapattah area provide additional access for patients who depend on public transportation.

Community Smiles Dental Clinic's name, location, and general dentistry scope reflect a commitment to neighborhood-level dental access in a community that the broader Miami dental market has historically underserved. The combination of an accessible location on NW 20th Street and a general dentistry focus makes it a practical first stop for Allapattah residents establishing or resuming dental care.

Patients looking for tooth decay treatment on Northwest 20th Street in the Allapattah area of Miami, Florida can consider Community Smiles Dental Clinic, which lists it among its treatments. The practice is open Monday through Friday. Full service details and contact options are available on this page.

Good morning they have a sorry appointment and walk-in system you have an appointment for a certain time and they make you wait like their doing you a favor and your paying for it. I understand that this dentist is provided by the government but still the cliental are not at this dentist for their slowness and disorganization. The clients should be out and in at their time and out so people can keep going about the day. You guys need to step it up because this is disgraceful coming from a segment that’s part of a well known hospital.

After two years as a patient at Community Smiles Dental Clinic, I can honestly say that this clinic changed my life and gave me back my smile. My treatment began with Dr. Yanel Echemendia, who did an extraordinary job and laid the foundation for the entire dental recovery process. Later, I was fortunate to continue my treatment with Dr. Stephanie Moreno, whose dedication, professionalism, and attention to detail were fundamental to achieving the result I enjoy today. At my most recent follow-up appointment, Dr. Stephanie confirmed that everything is in excellent condition. Seeing the final result fills me with gratitude because behind every prosthesis, every adjustment, and every consultation, there was a genuine commitment to my well-being and self-confidence. I also want to give special thanks to Andrea, who always greeted me with a smile, kindness, and an extraordinary willingness to help. Her compassion made every visit a pleasant experience and made me feel valued as a patient. I wish Dr. Stephanie Moreno, who will soon be completing this important academic and professional milestone, every success. Her talent, dedication, and compassionate approach will take her far, and I am grateful to have been under her care during such an important part of my treatment. Thank you to the entire team at Community Smiles Dental Clinic for giving me back more than just a smile: you gave me back security, confidence, and quality of life. I wholeheartedly recommend this clinic to anyone seeking professional excellence, personalized care, and top-quality results.

I called this clinic to schedule a wisdom tooth extraction. I already had my x-rays and evaluation completed elsewhere and was told to email the x-rays the day before my appointment. After waiting more than two months in pain for this visit, I called one day prior to confirm the email address—only to be told that no extraction would be performed without an in-house evaluation. I was then informed that I would need to schedule a separate appointment, and wait another 2 months or more for the actual extraction. This lack of clear communication upfront was extremely frustrating and resulted in unnecessary delays while I was dealing with ongoing tooth pain. Patients deserve accurate information from the beginning so they can make informed decisions about their care.

Front desk staff rude and don’t know how communicate properly.you call and try to make an appointment they will hang up in your face .No respect and treat patients any kind of way .All I ask was for accurate information about the emergency appointment because I was told two different situations by two different front desk staff. I just wanted to get a chip tooth fix . Like why all these problems just to get dental work. And this the dental office for the community Smh!!!!! I beg the differ Do Better!!!!!!!!!!
