If you have to be at an endodontist, this is the best experience you could ever possibly ask for. From the kind and accommodating front desk staff (Kelsey) who listened, understood my pain and got me into a busy office schedule, to the kind, avuncular and attentive Dr. Kaplan, my experience here exceeded all expectation. Dr. Kaplan sat and listened to my story and asked excellent questions, was patient and gentle about the pain I was in, and even offered me his banana when I was concerned about taking an antibiotic on an empty stomach. He consulted with my dentist and another colleague and advised me that the expense of a root canal would be a waste of money because the offending tooth was too far gone. He then called an oral surgeon for me and pressured the guy to get me in for a tooth extraction that afternoon. And finally, he called me at 10pm that night to find out how I was feeling after the procedure. I didn’t know it could be like this. If you need a skilled but also kind endodontist, if you are in pain and scared, if you are hungry and need a banana, if you need to feel that the American health care system is not as broken as everyone believes, Make an appointment with Dr. Kaplan and his team. It’s the way medicine and dentistry should be.

Dr Kaplan is Great. He is the Doctor you go to when you have a hard case. My case was a very difficult case other Dentists would not take. Dr Kaplan took it, spent a huge amount of his time on it and it worked! You cannot go wrong with Dr Kaplan!

My experience with Dr.Kaplan here was great, he was professional, patient and considerate of how i felt during the operation and handled the tooth with a lot of care. Dental work can be stressful but Dr.Kaplan and the staff here made the process a lot easier than i expected. And the root canal actually worked. (My tooth was pretty difficult) I appreciated the time and attention that went into treating my case and would definitely recommend going to Dr.Kaplan and this practice to anyone that’s looking for an endodontist.

Dr. Steven Kaplan, D.M.D., and the entire staff at Compassionate Endodontics are simply superlative. Care and compassion are clearly at the center of Dr. Kaplan's practice. He performed a double root canal for me, and I recently scheduled a follow-up appointment. Even though the procedure had gone perfectly and I experienced absolutely no pain or discomfort, I was still a tad nervous. However, the minute I walked into the welcoming reception area, I was warmly greeted by the front staff. Check-in was a breeze, the wait time was minimal, and Dr. Kaplan even came out before my appointment to greet me, which immediately put me at ease. During the follow-up, he took the time to explain each process and rationale, from reviewing x-rays to giving a tutorial on how to floss! Plus, the endodontic assistants were so kind and helpful. In addition to Dr. Kaplan's acumen and extensive expertise in his field, he is caring, kind, and plays the best music during procedures!

Compassionate is the right word - and friendly - from the moment I walked in. I highly recommend Dr. Moosavi!

Dr. Kaplan is not only an endodontist, he is truly an exceptional human. I honestly don’t even know how to fully describe it. He’s the kind of doctor you meet and wish you could see for everything, not just dentistry. After visiting him, you leave feeling genuinely uplifted. My dentist referred me to an endodontist out of concern that I might need a root canal retreatment. I saw Dr. Kaplan, and after reviewing everything, he told me I was actually fine and didn’t need retreatment. In other circumstances, another provider might have gone ahead with the procedure anyway, but that wasn’t the case with Dr. Kaplan. He genuinely cares about his patients. Even beyond clinical care, I had some of the best conversations with him. I didn’t want to leave. Before meeting Dr. Kaplan, I read the Google reviews, and now I get it. He really is doing his life’s work. I commuted three hours to see him and I would do it all over again. If you ever need an endodontist, look no further - He's your guy!

if you ever heard the phrase, "I would rather have a root canal" it's probably because they went to Compassionate Endodontists. You know Dr. Kaplan runs a warm and nurturing office because the staff is genuinely friendly and helpful. Dr. Kaplan takes the time to explain procedures in a no nonsense way. You can tell he's someone who loves his craft because he is always willing to share his knowledge and will even pull his staff over to show them tips and tricks to always be on the look out for. It was so good I asked for a double. (Note of advice: never trust your adult teeth to your teenage self. And don't forget to floss.) vinny Brooklyn
