Cornerstone Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery provides surgical oral and dental care to patients in Westminster and Carroll County from its office at Unit C-1, 1130 Baltimore Blvd, Westminster, MD 21157. As a dedicated oral and maxillofacial surgery practice, Cornerstone handles the surgical aspects of dental and jaw care that fall outside the scope of general dentistry, accepting referrals from dentists across the Carroll County region.
Oral and maxillofacial surgeons receive specialized residency training in surgical procedures involving the teeth, jaws, face, and related tissues. At Cornerstone, patients are evaluated and treated for conditions including impacted third molars (wisdom teeth), complex tooth extractions that cannot be safely performed in a general dental setting, and dental implant placement where surgical expertise is required for precision placement or when bone augmentation procedures are needed first.
The maxillofacial component of the practice extends to the treatment of jaw-related conditions, including pathology of the oral mucosa and jawbones, evaluation of cysts or benign lesions in the jaw, and management of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders when a surgical consultation is warranted. Oral surgeons also coordinate care with orthodontists and general dentists for patients undergoing combined surgical-orthodontic correction of jaw discrepancies.
The Baltimore Boulevard location in Westminster provides a well-positioned surgical referral center for Carroll County's dental community, with access from Route 140 and the Westminster commercial corridor. Cornerstone Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery serves as an important referral partner for general dentists and specialists throughout Carroll County and neighboring regions.

I've been to cornerstone multiple times now and every time I left wondering why I was dreading it as it is always quick and painless.A+ to Dr.Forshey and her staff.
My daughter had her wisdom teeth out at Cornerstone last week. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, and Dr Forshey is kind, patient, efficient, and professional. The surgery was quick and well done and follow-up instructions were clear. The office was also very flexible with timing for the consulation and surgery and were able to fit my daughter in right when we needed it. The office was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.
Office staff are superb - the best! They were attentive to all details - exhibited knowledge, experience, care and patience. Highly recommend!
This was truly the best dental experience I have ever had. I had all four wisdom teeth removed last week and did not have a single ounce of pain. I was terrified of getting them out but it was so quick and easy, I would do it again with Dr. Forshey rather than getting any other dental procedure done. The staff are extremely professional and kind, especially Carly. She was super sweet to me after my extractions even though I was acting goofy. If I ever need any form of oral surgery or extraction, this is where I will be coming. Don’t go anywhere else, Dr. Forshey is the most kind and humble doctor I have ever met.
OK first thing is not that important but I want to share anyway. Medical offices are always either ugly or trying not to be ugly but kind of meh. This is the most beautiful and tasteful office I have been in ever. Even the exam rooms are spacious and nice to be in. Is that the most important thing? No, but it’s kind of nice and I think it still says something about the people who work there. I’m happy also to add that I was really impressed with Dr. Forshey. And I think my 18-year-old son really appreciated her friendly and energetic manner and her thoroughness in explaining things without putting you to sleep. I’m fine, but you know how teenagers’ attention spans can wane. Finally, wisdom teeth surgery has come a long way since it did when I had it done 24 years ago. The information was great and everything has been thought of and is well explained. Basically a painless process to learn about and set up. Hopefully the procedure itself will be the same way. 😁
