About Cotswold Dental Care
Cotswold Dental Care is a dental practice on South Sharon Amity Road in the Providence Park area of Charlotte, North Carolina. Wisdom teeth are removed when they are impacted, repeatedly infected, decayed, or damaging the tooth in front, since they arrive last and often into a jaw with no room left. Not every wisdom tooth needs to come out — one that erupts cleanly and can be kept clean is often left alone.
Gum disease treatment ranges from a deeper professional cleaning for early inflammation through to more involved periodontal care once bone around the teeth has started to be affected. Bleeding gums are usually the earliest sign, and the early stage is reversible with proper cleaning and better daily plaque control.
Oral surgery covers procedures beyond routine treatment — surgical extractions including impacted wisdom teeth, implant placement, and bone grafting among the more common ones. The distinguishing feature is generally that tissue is opened and closed as part of the procedure, rather than treated at the surface.
Periodontics is the specialty focused on the gums and the bone supporting the teeth, handling more advanced gum disease, related surgical treatment, and — in many practices — dental implant placement, which sits naturally alongside that training.
Prosthetic dentistry is the branch concerned with replacing missing teeth and restoring damaged ones — dentures, bridges, crowns, and implant-supported restorations all sit within this area, chosen based on how much natural tooth and bone remain.
Comprehensive care generally means a practice can handle most of a patient's dental needs in-house — preventive, restorative, and often minor cosmetic or surgical treatment — reducing how often patients are referred elsewhere for routine work.
A filling repairs a tooth after decay has been cleaned out, most often using tooth-coloured composite resin that is shaped and bonded to blend with the surrounding tooth. It is usually completed in a single appointment and is one of the most routine restorative procedures in dentistry. I came here as a new patient. The hygienist spent a total of 10 minutes cleaning my teeth. Normal cleaning usually take about 30 minutes to an hour. Then the dentist came in quickly glanced over my teeth and then pulled up pictures of my teeth. I could hear both of them whispering behind me. Mind you me the hygienist and the dentist are the only three people in this whole entire building. I got such a weird vibe of both of them ( they are both brothers) then The dentist proceeds to show me x-rays of my teeth mind you I am not a dentist I do not know what I am looking at . This dentist looks me dead in the face and says I am not going to tell you how many cavities you have right now because you might punch me in the face I’m gonna let the hygienist tell you then he ran out of the room. So the hygienist proceeds to tell me that I have 14 cavities. I knew that this couldn’t possibly be true so I immediately made another Dentist appointment with a different dentist only to find out I HAVE NO CAVITIES.
Never come here! My partner came and the hygienist kept shaking and his gums were bleeding a lot! The dentist also doesn’t examine the teeth well. Stay away from this place!
