I recently visited the Central Piedmont Dental Hygiene Clinic after a client recommended it to me. As a fitness trainer, I understand the importance of working with professionals who genuinely care about the people they serve, and my experience exceeded expectations. I was fortunate to be treated by Rebecca (Becky) Swerdlow on June 4, 2026. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by how clean, organized, and welcoming the clinic was. Becky was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly caring. She explained every step of the process, which helped put me at ease since I have never been someone who enjoys dental visits. Because the clinic is a teaching environment, appointments take longer than a traditional dental office, but the thoroughness and attention to detail are remarkable. During my follow-up visit on June 8, Becky’s comprehensive assessment, along with the guidance and oversight of the clinic faculty, revealed a significant tooth infection that I had no idea existed. I had no pain and no symptoms that would have led me to seek treatment on my own. As a result of their findings, I was able to get the issue addressed before it became even more serious. The tooth was extracted on June 12, and I required a bone graft due to extensive infection and damage that had developed over time. Looking back, I am extremely grateful that Becky and the Central Piedmont team identified the problem when they did. The Central Piedmont Dental Hygiene Clinic provides far more than a cleaning—it delivers a comprehensive evaluation, exceptional patient care, and an opportunity to help future dental professionals gain valuable clinical experience under the supervision of experienced faculty. Their commitment to patient education, prevention, and thorough care is evident in everything they do. I highly recommend Becky, the faculty, and the entire Central Piedmont Dental Hygiene Clinic team. There are NO current screenings being done until August 22, 2025 despite their automated voice message system saying that they are on Mon.,Tues., and Thurs. / No human answered their phone line to state this. Had to drive in-person for me to find out. Trying to save you the gas and time!

Cheap but does take all day and they scrape a lot

Maria G. A freshmen in the dental hygienists program worked on my teeth with care and compassion. She was amazing and super sweet, very helpful and extremely nice and answered all questions I had! I had a lot!! She took her time and really focused on what she was doing. Definitely recommend! The whole staff was super incredible and I left feeling better than when I leave my actual dentist office! Thankyou Maria ♥️

My boyfriend doesn't have dental insurance. I found this place on the internet and it is great! The staff is friendly and accommodating. You have to fill out a form and be reviewed to see if your eligible for their program. Keep in mind it is students who are practicing on you under the supervision of a real dentist. If a student needs a person with your type of dental needs you will get a call. My boyfriend did, and it's a one time payment of $35. Hes getting a full dental cleaning, xrays, and attention. They do not do extractions or surgery but if it wasent for this place he would be paying $1300 at a real office. It's a blessing to the community.
