Cranston Cosmetic Dentistry

I live out of state and was in town for wedding. On the drive to RI I developed a toothache. Called first thing in the morning and was seen that morning. The whole staff was very pleasant. If I ever move back to RI they would be my dentist!

My DENTAL CARE SENSES were tingling in the best way on 7/22/2026 as I perused my insurances list of Dentist who take my insurance. The events that led me down this rocky rode was a text from my previous dentist on 7/20/2026. Stating hours before I was supposed to go in for my cleaning that they were not taking my insurance any longer. The shock was profound and I needed a day to gather my thoughts. Finding a new wellness care anything is an anxiety laden maelstrom of worse to worst scenarios. When I finally started calling Dentist the first one respectively told me that they did not carry my insurance. When I saw the next candidate, this is when the tingling began. I called and was doused with the wonderful charm of Diane (receptionist, I think)... And she eased my worries as we spoke. I was sent my new patient form link to their portal (Gotta Love Science) and proceeded to fill out the most thorough forms that I've ever seen. Which really told me that they don't play around. Anyway, my appointment was set for 7/24/2026 and I was ready to get this chapter started. I'm an early bird and made it into the office which, too my happy surprise was VERY nice. The aquarium with albino frogs was the cherry on top. Definitely an office that speaks MODERN and that technology is an asset in wellness. I didn't meet Diane forst but instead the AMAZING Donna Dame (Hygienist) At my previous dentist, I met someone similar like her and she made my visits the best experience - Always a smile. Anyway, Donna greeted me and took care of me through my x-rays and cleaning. She was thorough, mindul and kind about my questions and care. Talking to Donna really cemented that Cranston Family & Cosmetic Dentistry is the right on for me. Well here's to my newest journey and lasting smile.

Dianna helped me from the moment of getting me into an urgent appointment to even taking the X-rays herself and scheduling my next appointment. I was treated with such empathy and kindness from her that I’ve never felt from any other doctors office. She is a wonderful face for this company and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with her, thank you!

I came in in a Critical condition, my Face was very swollen with infection, I don’t want to get in too much details about it, but all I can say is that my gums looks very healthy and also my teeth, it wasn’t a easy process, but with the hard work, we end up achieving the goal we was looking for!! they took good care of me, all the staffs are very friendly, VERY Professional and very helpful on what you need, also, they are very flexible with your budget ( they will find a best options to better assist you) I can’t thank them enough for what they have done for me. Today I can smile Confidently !!!! THANK YOU!!

I want to start off by saying that the past 2 times that I have been seen by this practice, they ran just about hour late (extremely behind). I highly recommend that patients do not book appointments elsewhere after being seen by this practice as they take a long time. For my most recent appointment, I waited for 45-50 minutes before I was seen and it was only for a 15-20 minute cleaning. I had to look around & ask twice when I would be seen - and I was told the dentist/hygienist is busy & will get to me soon. During my cleaning, I had an experience when my mouth was left extremely dry due to the dental vacuum equipment hanging in my mouth like a hook. In addition, I have very sensitive teeth, and have been traumatized by the hygienist here when they clean. They CONTINUED to clean deep even though I was in pain. Once my cleaning was finished, I was given toothpaste that says EXPMA24 (expired toothpaste y’all!). At my initial appointment, I was also quoted for fillings which cost about $480 up-front. Shortly before I became a patient here, I was told at my previous dental practice that I didn’t need fillings. I believe the wait time, dry mouth and painful cleaning, and expensive up-front cost made my experience not so pleasant. This sounds like a practice that just wants your money and doesn’t care about quality of care (unless you have all of the time in the world to wait around). I have tried to be understanding, I just want new patients to know what they’re getting themselves into.

I can honestly say that this is the first time I have ever felt completely comfortable and even had fun at the dentist’s office. Dr Lakhar is incredibly knowledgeable, capable, and kind. I feel that I am in very good hands.

I have avoided the dentist for a few years now due to my sensative teeth and less than pleasureable experiences. I recently visited Cranston Cosmetic, and I have to say, it was perfect. Donna D. took her time, addressed my concerned, and took special care. Coupled with Dr Shrethsta, I am no longer fearful of pain that I may experience at the dentist. Well done and thank you.

Unfortunately, I cannot give more than 5⭐️’s. My experience with Dr. Lakhkar was amazing. She is extremely knowledgeable and came up with a plan for treatment. Very patient taking time to explain everything that I needed. The receptionist Jen, also amazing 5⭐️’s for her as well. Super sweet and efficient. Worked around my hectic schedule with ease. Highly recommend this place and everyone working in it. Thank you ladies!!!

Dr. Lakhakar did a thorough exam of my teeth and clearly explained my options for the dental work that needed to be done. I felt comfortable and felt that I was in very good hands. Thank you Dr. Lakhakar.
