Dalton Dental

I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. She diagnosed an issue I had incorrectly. So treatment she had done obviously did not work. I went back a couple of times with ongoing concerns. She kept reassuring me everything was good. Never took updated xrays. No CT scan, nothing. I ended up going to another periodontist. Turns out I had more significant bone loss and ended up needing to get 4 teeth pulled, bone grafting and have been going thru a long process of getting dental implants and permanent teeth which is costing me a huge fortune that could have been prevented. I would not trust this doctor by any means.

Plasantly surprised by the warmth and professionalism of the staff and the doctor.I'm new to Tampa and wanted a practice that would offer family dentistry and periodontal services. Dr. Dalton met my requirements. Another plus is the proximity to my home. From now on Dalton Dental is my office. I highly recommend it.

This dentist has alot to offer Tampa. Everyone was professional, nice, and kind. They took the time to make me feel comfortable. The aura of the place is welcoming. Pink is everywhere, which makes it more welcoming. A special thanks to Nelli for taking her time with the procedure I ordered. She really made me feel like I could come back anytime. I've been to a few dentist in Tampa, this has been the best experience thus far. Keep up the good work.

DALTON APPEARS TO BE PUSHING UNNECESSARY PROCEDURES. I came to Dalton as a new patient after not having had a cleaning for a couple years but with otherwise no big complaints. They diagnosed gum disease, requiring a "deep cleaning" under the gums, and they also said that two of my molars were so weakened by grinding that they risk cracking and need to be capped (total cost in the thousands). I went to another dentist (Dentistry on Swann: upscale, highly recommend!) for a second opinion. They recommended only a mouth guard at night and better hygiene but no invasive procedures. While there can be valid differences in opinion, both dentists measured my periodontal pocket depths to assess gum health. Dalton had many measurements in the 5-6mm range, while Swann had no measurements in that range (I was in the 2-3 mm range with a few 4mm). The magnitude of that discrepancy, and the different diagnosis of my molars (Swann assessed the enamel to be still looking very strong), feels quite problematic and has spurred me to leave this review.
