I went to the Datapoint VA Dental clinic and received exceptional service for a cracked tooth with a same-day triage, walk-in appointment for this issue. I was told there would be a wait after I checked in, but I don't even think I waited that long and I was seen promptly, and was given excellent care and felt like my dental needs were personally taken care of and I was listened to with sincere thought and consideration. The techs and doctor who saw me were attentive, professional, and friendly, I was able to get a future appointment for a tooth extraction within a very decent amount of time. I have a routine dental checkup next year, and I'm looking forward to it because of the great service I received today😊
This place is a joke! So rude and unprofessional. The employees here treat Veterans as if they're a bother. I'll tell ya what folks...let Veterans go where ever they want and TRUST ME they'll go! I'm sick of the VA making our Veterans drive all over the place for something that can be handled right down the street from their house! I love how the VA system forces veterans to jump through hoops left and right and then when they get upset about it everyone acts like the veteran is crazy. You know what's crazy people...the system!
I went to the DPC Eye Service today for a spot found during an annual eye exam. Dr. Akinwale and the entire staff were very professional, fast, and efficient. This was the best experience I've had with the VA since retirement 20 years ago. Thank you DPC Eye Service, you renewed my faith in a broken system.
Due to I35 traffic and constructions such as putting up cones and no one appears yo be working. Then again, I was late to the appointment. Still VA was very accommodating in that now from the Data Point Clinic, one is able to be referred to UIW Medical School. Haven't gone yet. Thus, being by a student means most like one will get through. Fyi. They are backed up with appointments at Data Point which means community or UIW if wish to be seen earlier.
“There is nothing more attractive than a nice smile”. These are the famous words of Peanuts creator Charles Schulz. I am writing regarding the exceptional dental care I am currently receiving at the Data Point VA Dental Clinic in San Antonio, TX under the guidance of Dr. Allen Scott Douglas. I have been a patient with Dr. Douglas and his team for the past 6 years. He trains new dentists to be able to transform the poor dental health in San Antonio’s Veteran community. In my opinion, this is nothing short of a miracle. Not only has he given me a nice smile, but he has also given me my dignity back. For many years I suffered with poor dental health complete with pain when chewing. I hated my smile and the way it made me look. I am concerned that the VA dental clinic funding may be on the chopping block. I would like to state that I am fully against this, as I believe this clinic is providing a valuable service. I, along with many others would like to continue receiving our care from Dr. Douglas and his team. I request your consideration in the matter at hand. I think it would be a great disservice to the Veteran community should this facility lose its funding.
