(update 9/26 - i’m a mouth breather so my gums are always sensitive. shelley is very gentle + thorough while cleaning my teeth. i love when they are all newly cleaned.) who loves going to the dentist?! I DO.! been going to dr. davidson 20+ years. had all sorts of complicated issues for him to tackle. love everyone at dr. davidson’s office. they all give A+++ service. hope he’s the kind of guy that will work into his 80s. never want to go to anyone else. first-rate care, cool office, on time, fantastic people, great value, convenient location - easy parking and in/out. how well your teeth do as you age is important factor is quality of life. i trust him with my oral health. highly recommend.

Talented, devoted, courteous, friendly team. Ty is a terrific dentist, and I have consulted many. Kim Mai is a very thoroughgoing hygienist, and she is friendly and pleasant to work with. Sheri and Flo are efficient, personable assistants. I've been visiting Dr. D for almost 20 years. I shall continue to do.

Best staff ever! I have been a patient of Dr. Davidson for 15 years and continue to look forward to my visits. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. I have always appreciated that Dr. Davidson is conservative with his treatment and doesn’t try to sell me additional products. My whole family sees him and even my kids like to see Dr. Davidson.

Excellent Dental team! Ty is the best dentist I have ever known! Knowledgeable, personable, efficient, kind and considerate! He is perfect! The great Dental Hygienists there are experts at the job. The marvelous Flo knows exactly how to make the office run efficiently and is always thinking of the clients first. Sherry is the perfect right hand professional dental assistant for Ty and puts clients at ease and does a great job! Though Ty”s office is not near my home, I would never change dentists! Once you’ve had the best, it is impossible to accept less!!!!

Been a patient of Dr. Davidson, for over twenty-five years. That alone should tell you, what an excellent Dentist he is. Not only is he thorough, he carefully explains what you need, and why. His staff, from the front desk, to his assistants, are super friendly, and helpful. I am fortunate, I found such a competent and honest Dentist, like Dr. Ty Davidson. Does great work.

I will admit that Dr. Davidson has a charming bedside manner but that alone does not make a good dentist. In my experience, he is lazy or doesn’t care and I will give a few examples. I do hope that you read them before you potentially go through the nightmare I went through while in his care. Example 1: He immediately wanted to pull a tooth that “was going to come out eventually anyways” (previous dentist never mentioned) which led me to a costly bridge. Shortly after the permanent was placed, I went in with pain to have the bite adjusted. A couple months go by, I go to the ER with more severe pain in the bridge. Another dentist that I was able to get in with on short notice gave me antibiotics which helped. Another few months, my face is swollen and I go to the ER in severe pain again. I have an abscess in one of the anchor teeth and they tell me swelling this close to the brain is dangerous. Lands me in Dell Seton with 2 options. One required me to see my dentist within 48 hrs. The other option, surgery. I called and emailed Dr. Davidson’s office multiple times. The emergency contact was not in their voicemail because they were out for Spring Break. This was a Tuesday and I wasn’t able to contact them until the following Monday (an entire week) during a dental emergency. I chose surgery and lost my costly bridge and anchor tooth because my established dentist was on Spring Break. They claimed phones were down but Flo’s voice was on the voicemail and it went through like normal. The overnight stay at the hospital also cost me a lot. I will say that he did do a root canal and crown on the remaining anchor tooth and gave me a partial “free” but I believe that is even for the cost of the bridge I lost after only 8 months and the excruciating pain I went through with this bridge multiple times. Example 2: During that root canal, they did X-rays to make sure all the roots were filled. The X-ray didn’t show one of them filled so they took another x-ray which didn’t show it either. Dr. Davidson said, “I know I put it in there. Let’s go ahead and crown it.” And they did. Example 3: The hygienist would ask him to look at a tooth from time to time and he would look for 2 seconds and say, “its fine. I wouldn’t worry about that” and bill me for those 2 seconds. Well, now that I am seeing a better dentist that is thorough and truly cares, those teeth he brushed off needed fillings. I would have lost more teeth continuing in his care. Example 4: More of an observation really. His treatment plan tends to change every visit. He would suggest one thing and say something different the next. Almost like he decides in the moment what he feels like doing vs what is actually best for your teeth. I know he has a lot of great reviews with that small business feel and charming bedside manner but PLEASE proceed with caution if you choose him as your dentist. When someone repeatedly says, “It ain’t about the money,” you know it’s about the money. Get a second opinion before he does anything major in your mouth that costs you!

I have been a patient of Dr. Davidson for many years. I am no longer an Austin resident, but reasonably close to the area. I will say that Dr. Davidson and his staff's attention to detail and kindness are well worth the drive.
