Incredibly friendly and great dental work, but as others have commented, their billing practices are questionable at best.

Dr Dillon and her staff are so friendly, caring, thorough and offer fair pricing. I have been to many Dentists throughout my life and this is the best experience I have ever had! I have been going here for a few year now, ever since they opened this Decatur location , and I actually look forward to going to the dentist..No one ever wants to go to the dentist. But if you have to go …this is the one to see!!!! I strongly recommend you check this dentist and location out and you will concur!

I had a great experience here. The dentist finally fixed a tooth that had never felt right for years, and the entire process was painless. Dr. Menendez was extremely thorough, honest, and took the time to explain everything. I really appreciated the laid back and comfortable atmosphere. Everyone was friendly and professional, and I left feeling taken care of. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy dentist.

I can’t say enough good things about Decatur Smiles! I have seen Dr. Dillon and Dr. Menendez, and both of them are phenomenal. The entire team is efficient, ethical, knowledgeable, and truly the absolute best. From the moment you walk in, you feel cared for and valued. They take the time to explain everything thoroughly and always provide honest, exceptional care. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dental office they can genuinely trust.

Don't bring your kids here. Last 2 times here inappropriate things in TVs in cleaning room so much so gave my daughter nightmares. Unedited songs in waiting room. Charged me $75 when I called to change kids appointment the day before because something at school couldn't miss. Feels like high volume poor service type of place.

My family has been going to Decatur Smiles for years, always out-of-network, and our cleanings have consistently cost $0. At our August visit, however, we were suddenly charged $507 for routine cleanings for a family of four with no prior warning that anything had changed. When I called to understand why, I spoke with Joey in the finance office. She told me they had recently hired a consultant who advised them to stop waiving the fees associated with out-of-network cleanings. This was the first time anyone had ever mentioned that these fees even existed, let alone that the practice had been choosing to waive them until now. When I pointed out that it was completely unfair to make this change without notifying existing patients, she got very quiet and said she would call me back. She never did. Instead, she emailed me later saying only that I should know I’m out of network—which I’ve always known. That wasn’t the issue. The issue is that the practice changed its billing policy and didn’t tell anyone, resulting in a huge surprise bill. Based on how the phone call went, I genuinely don’t think she was supposed to mention the consultant or the policy change at all. This entire situation feels deceptive and unprofessional. If a practice decides to stop waiving fees they have always waived, they should be transparent and notify patients ahead of time. Because of the unexpected charges, the lack of communication, and the dismissive response afterward, I would not recommend Decatur Smiles.
