About Dental Associates of Florida - Tampa

Based on West Busch Boulevard in the Northwest Tampa area of Tampa, Florida, Dental Associates of Florida - Tampa is a dental practice serving the area. Affordable care means the practice sets out to make treatment accessible on a self-pay basis or through a payment arrangement, rather than assuming every patient arrives with comprehensive insurance. It is worth asking directly what options exist before assuming a needed treatment is out of reach.

Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave. What dental treatment is usually covered by insurance?
Preventive care such as examinations, cleanings, and X-rays is generally the best covered, with fillings and similar routine work covered at a lower rate. Purely cosmetic treatment, whitening included, is usually excluded because it is not medically necessary.
Is it cheaper to treat a cavity early?
Almost always. A small cavity treated with a filling is a far smaller undertaking than the same tooth once decay has reached the nerve and needs root canal treatment and a crown. Cost tends to rise sharply the longer a problem is left.
Is it normal for teeth to be sensitive to cold?
Mild, brief sensitivity is common and often relates to exposed root surfaces or worn enamel. Sensitivity that lingers after the cold is removed is more significant and worth having examined, as it can indicate the nerve is involved.

The first appointment was fantastic, did an Scan with advance software, shown the indication of the where the concerns were, made two separate appointments to reach further care. And my health of my teeth, have truly changed from gum inflammation to sensation of relief. The experience of wait time is decent. I walked in first time, what attracted was the affordability. Then reviews, the attention is well established into the service. 1st visit was attended fast, the second I waited a bit I didn't mind the nap, next I was called. The third visit as of June 18bwas quick I entered the office, spoke with the clerk the next moment I was called in, I didn't even sit down. The quality of explaination is clear, concise, and full of friendliness while behaving professional. A before and after is yet to be seen, while still in progress, I cleansed, inflammation is gone on my right and the left is leaving. Polish is next. Brush Floss Spray water with water flossing system Mouth rense (prescribed mouth wash then regular). I enjoyed making this positive changes in my life. Thank you Cynthia. 😁🇺🇸

I was very hesitant to pick this office, but I am extremely glad I did. Dr. David was very honest, thorough, and gentle. When I was presented with my treatment plan didn't feel like I was being "up-sold" or pressured to complete treatment, NOW, NOW, NOW! The office is always clean and the staff is nice. This place is conveniently located minutes from my home. It's definitely a God send as I was driving from Tampa, FL to Savannah, GA until I found this gem.

I have to start by saying how happy I am with my dental care here. The doctor is amazing, he pulled my two wisdom teeth at the citrus park prior office, I found him here at the new office just to continue my dental work with him. The pricing is fair, the staffs super friendly. And yesterday the young lady who did my dental X-rays was extremely gentle. I felt no discomfort biting down on those inserts!

Hello to anyone interested. Well, to start, the treatment was good, but the doctor's decision wasn't the best because ultimately, I'm the one who decides since I'm the one who's going to pay, and this doctor wanted to do a deep cleaning when I didn't need it. I'm not saying this because I don't need it, but because other doctors have said it. But these days, they all want to squeeze money out of me at any cost, so he refused to do the regular cleaning I was due for every six months. I ended up finding another doctor. I checked with the insurance company, and they said they don't force doctors to do anything; it's the doctors who decide.

I came in after not being to a dentist in a long time; Dr. David and his assistant Ms. Kim did an amazing job at making me feel comfortable and explaining every step and the importance of it. Also, their hygienist Mr. Mohamed did an amazing job and was very informative. 10/10 would recommend, thank you guys!
