About Dental Associates of New York
Dental Associates of New York is a general dentistry practice on the fourth floor of 155 Spring Street in SoHo, lower Manhattan. Serving patients from SoHo, Tribeca, the West Village, and the surrounding neighborhoods, the practice provides general preventive and restorative dental care with a team of multiple dentists and hygienists.
Professional dental cleanings, oral examinations, and X-rays make up the core preventive services. The hygiene team takes time during cleanings to educate patients on their home care habits, demonstrating where specific brushing coverage is missed and providing instruction on flossing technique. Patients who have benefited from this kind of detailed hygiene coaching note that it makes a meaningful difference in their oral health between visits.
Restorative services include fillings and other standard dental work that may be identified during routine examinations. The practice has multiple dentists including Dr. Alina, Dr. Brandon, and Dr. Khaloo, each of whom takes a thorough approach to patient communication — explaining findings and proposed treatments clearly before proceeding. Insurance is accepted, and the front desk team is experienced at handling verification and scheduling inquiries.
New patients scheduling a first visit should confirm the expected duration of their appointment when booking. First visits typically include a full examination, X-rays, and a cleaning, and having clarity on timing helps patients plan their day. If you have a preference for a thorough, unhurried first appointment, communicating that preference at booking is worthwhile.
155 Spring Street in SoHo is served by the C/E train at Spring Street and the 1 train at Houston Street. The fourth-floor office is accessible by elevator. The location is convenient for patients from SoHo, Tribeca, the West Village, NoHo, and the Financial District, as well as for workers commuting from Brooklyn and beyond via the nearby PATH and subway connections.

My first visit with Doctor Kepec was extremely valuable. I am from Maine and had been unable to return for a dental cleaning in six months. I knew I would have extra plaque and irritation and needed treatment quickly. My first pleasant surprise was getting a rapid appointment. My second was that Doctor Kepec did the cleaning, the first time an actual dentist had done that in my experience (much as I respect dental hygienists). Doctor Kepecs is cheerful, kind, and capable. She is also familiar with the latest techniques. To speed the healing of certain areas that were especially inflamed, she broached the idea of placing a topical antibiotic. I had never before been told of such a procedure, but it was exactly what I wanted to compensate for the gap between cleanings. In all, I am VERY pleased with my experience in every way. I should add that the dental assistant Michelle was able, efficient, and thoughtful.
NYC Dental Associates is associated with my primary care doctor, whom I love, so it made sense to stay in the loop. A tooth broke a few weeks back and I had to, er, bite the bullet and finally go see a dentist. The team at NYDA is amazing. Led by Dr. Behm and his colleagues Doctors Alena and Danskin, plus their remarkable team of expert staff, they did a thorough first examination. Not to my surprise they discovered a graveyard of decayed teeth and proposed a plan of action plus a rough estimate of cost (gulp! I don't have dental insurance!). That followed by a cleaning. Today extraction of three teeth. That was four hours ago and the lidocaine is wearing off, and yet I'm still able to write a glowing review! Seriously, a great experience. When do you ever say that about a visit to the dentist?
I’ve been here 3 times so far and have always felt that they prioritize stirring every conversation into a major upsell and rush.
Cannot say enough good things!! Dr. Remer does exceptional work - He is quick, thorough, and absolutely great at what he does. The staff at the front desk are all so accommodating and sweet! THANK YOU!!!!
Everyone was so friendly and easy to work with! I got an appointment with no problem. Dr. Alina is so professional and personable, and they went the extra mile to work out some hurdles with my insurance. My teeth feel and look great!
Dr Khaloo is an excellent Dentist! I have been seeing him for about 3 years now and have been very happy with his work on my teeth. He keeps me informed on any problems that need to be addressed going forward. The SoHo staff are very friendly and helpful! I highly recommend NYC Dental Associates!
I had a great experience at this practice. Alicia at the front desk was welcoming and professional. I have seen Dr. Alina and Dr. Brandon. They took the time to explain everything clearly and do an excellent job. Highly recommend!
The whole team at NYC Dental Associates in SOHO was great! A shout out to the dental hygienist Marciana who took the time to show me where I was missing brushing my teeth. Really lovely experience. Couldn’t be happier!
Really good doctors and the front desk staff are super nice and kind. Dr Khaloo is incredible and really good at what he does. Love the experience every time I've been to this place. Very happy with my care and highly recommend this place!
Took down my original review where I expressed some concerns but since then the doctor that did my cleaning reached out, which I appreciated because not often do doctors reach out to communicate misunderstanding and offer a solution. I still feel compelled to write an honest, high level review in case it helps any new patient. My first visit for an annual cleaning was just okay. The cleaning was pretty fast and wasn’t super thorough as other practices I’ve been to. I only came here because my insurance changed. My overall appointment felt rushed a bit. I couldn’t ask a lot of questions, in my case specifically about my mouth guard and grinding my teeth which the doctor noticed while examining my teeth. Overall, I didn’t feel confident at the end of my visit that I will be returning. I usually never feel that way in any of practices that I go to for care within and outside of dental. So it was strange feeling that made me want to write a review in first place. I am also someone that cares about the patient + HCP relationship, and want to stay at a practice that I feel comfortable in. If you value similar things in what you want in your care, just make sure to ask questions and voice concerns with your doctor. Pro, the office was clean and the front desk staff was very nice. I was able to get an appointment pretty quickly.
