Dental Associates Waukesha

I have more of a billing concern. I have been going to Dental Associates for a long time. I will continue to go there. My problem is that I am a senior, and on a very fixed budget. I have an upper denture with lower teeth being real. When I go in to have my teeth cleaned, I am charged for a whole mouth cleaning!!?? I talked to someone about this, but didn't' really get an answer. I have an appt. coming up in the near future, and will ask for a "partial" cleaning...there are absolutely NO teeth up there!!! only 4 screws and gums!!!! I am hoping that I can continue to be served at Dental Associates. My oldest daughter got her braces there and she is now 56 yrs. old. It's been quite a few years..there, for my family.

The people in the front are unhelpful rude and disorganized. The dentist was rude and did listen ti a word i said and i saw him treating the staff poorly. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The dentists are very kind and professional and seem to be very knowledgeable. The hygienist and assistant were also very nice and thorough in providing care. The office is very clean and has a soothing atmosphere. The number one thing is that they were able to provide care with out setting off my severe allergy to natural rubber (latex). Yay!!

Several times now I have had booked appointments canceled at the last minute due to a hygienist not being available. I was told I could travel a great distance to a different Dental Associates or I could wait 6 months to get another appointment. Really disappointed with the customer service and how they treated their patients over time with no regards to our schedules.

I went here to have a tooth pulled under orders from my dentist. I literally felt pressured to save the tooth and have additional work done. They took 300$ worth of Imaging without asking that I was responsible for paying for. With actual tears in my eyes, I explained to them, I could not afford all they were proposing. They had the business manager come in and explain the costs : 5,000+ for a root canal and two crowns on my back molars. I’m thinking, what about? I can’t afford this do you not understand? So the dentist said that once she gets the crumbling filling off my tooth, she’ll see if I need a root canal and surprisingly of course I did not so the price went down to 3000 something. Feeling pressured I guess I just put it on my credit card because you pay upfront before the service. I proceeded to have impressions taken for this crown, and a temporary crown made, and put on by a dental assistant, not a hygienist, not the dentist. The next day it fell off, and I called and they said to come in which I had to do well before going to work when I got there that dental assistant was sweeping up the floors and cleaning the office. And another one re-glued the crown. This crown fell off two days later and I I left it off and at this point, I’m not eating anything. Very frustrated I called them and said that I would pay them for the work. They have done, but I was going to go elsewhere to have whatever work need to be done finished. They kind of argued with me saying oh no we we already have submitted this insurance and I said no because I’m paying in cash. So then they said they’ve already submitted The impressions to the lab and I said well. I need this done as soon as possible and all of a sudden the crowns were there. So I have an appointment the next day to have the crown permanently put on and I am frozen for this and instantly my jaw was very sore and I could not open my mouth and it has been three weeks and I’m still in pain and can’t open my mouth fully. Not really addressing those concerns they did bring in an estimate for further work for me to have done on my upper molars. I left without making an appointment even with their plea that I should make it very soon! I have had dental work done since I was 10 years old very consistently because of knocking my permanent teeth out when I was young. Every time I go to a dentist, they think that I am upset about the pain or the inconvenience and absolutely it’s all about the money. I think it’s a business now and feel very much just like they’re looking at me like their income. I am on badger care so I go to a dentist that takes badger care. It may not be the prettiest state of the art dental office, but I don’t ever feel like they’re selling me anything I don’t need and they are concerned about my health in my teeth only. And I’m sure that’s because they don’t have the opportunity to make more money off me. I guess an ending I’m just gonna say if you have a good dentist that he’s concerned about your health in your teeth and not money hang onto them!!

I’d give no stars if possible! Don’t go here! Starting in 10/21/21 Dr Cianciolo of Dental Associates began treatment preparing for braces on my daughter with a pallet expander and Impressions costing $775.50. On 4/27/22 she received braces. Meanwhile I had been paying monthly payments and ortho insurance payments to be told her braces needed to be removed on 4/20/23 by Dr De Leon due to Short Root Anomaly and that she is at risk of losing her top teeth. On 5/30/24 I was encouraged to get a special type of xray from an oral surgeon costing $500 to figure out the next steps involving an impacted tooth. The xray was said to have discovered that my daughter could once again get braces on her top teeth per Dr Jordan’s recommendation on 11/20/24. Once again on 5/1/25 her new Orthodontist Dr Wang that had taken Dr Jordan’s place said it is urgent that these braces come off immediately because she NEVER should have had them! The only compensation I received for this was the 6 months of payments of $191 paid into the most recent treatment plan! My daughter’s teeth are crooked and roots are Severely damaged! Total paid to Dental Associates for braces not including insurance was $7249.00

Do not recommend for Orthodontics. Based on several unnecessary appointments, I feel like the staff may be under experienced for ortho. We have had multiple return visits because the first visit wasn’t done correctly. Initially, my daughter needed an expander. We are seen at the Waukesha office, we were scanned for it there. They ordered the expander, we had our follow up visit to put the expander in. Upon arrival, we were made are aware that the expander was shipped to Burleigh office and to make an appointment there, so we did. We make it to that appt, only to find out no one can find it. They apologized and told me to make a follow up appt back for Waukesha, so I did. Come to find out, now it’s been too long so she needs to be rescanned to make sure the appliance will fit properly. All this chasing around was pointless and the communication was extremely poor. I told them I will hold off on making an appointment to have the expander put in until someone called me to let me know they had it physically in their posession. Lot of missed work and school to get that situation resolved. To name a few others, my daughter had a wire in her mouth to wear rubber bands on, wire was put on upside down, had to return to have that fixed. My other daughter had a bracket that wouldn’t stay put on her molar (it detached at home) we made another appointment. They just cut the wire there and said she didn’t need the bracket -the one on the back molar to hold the wire in. Just went in yesterday for a scan for a retainer only to find out the scan was done incorrectly and the image is poor, when everything was checked for accuracy bevfore I left. They asked for me to return yet again, I made them aware I could only do right away in the morning since I had work today, my appointment was for 7:30 right when they open, so I don’t miss work and so daughter wouldn’t have to miss school again. I went up to the front desk at 7:55 to cancel the appointment because no one had to come out for us yet, no one even went back to see what was going on or rectify the situation. I don’t understand how you can be a half hour behind when the clinic opens at 7:30 and that’s when our appointment was for. Needless to say, I would highly recommend seeking ortho care elsewhere to avoid a lot of extra, unnecessary visits.

Extremely impressed with Dental Associates in Waukesha. From the time I walked in the door and Joan helped me check in and then later make numerous appointments for myself and daughters, until I left the office following my visit. The staff are well oganized, educated, and friendly. The office is clean and comfortable. Thank you to my hygienist Natalia and Dr. Schroeder whom were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I am very happy. Thank you.
