About Dental Care Olathe

Dental Care Olathe provides dental care on South Mur-Len Road in the Arrowhead area of Olathe, Kansas. Clear aligners straighten teeth through a series of custom, removable trays, each worn for one to two weeks before moving to the next in the sequence. They suit mild to moderate crowding and spacing well, and are worn roughly twenty to twenty-two hours a day for treatment to stay on schedule.

A veneer is a thin custom shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, length, or colour, most often used to address chips, gaps, or discoloration that whitening alone cannot fix. Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed, which makes the change permanent.

Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.

Emergency dental care covers sudden problems that will not wait for a routine appointment — severe pain, a knocked-out or fractured tooth, swelling, or a lost filling that leaves a tooth exposed. Same-day or urgent appointments are the point of an emergency service, rather than the standard multi-week booking window.

A crown covers an entire damaged tooth — used when too much structure is missing for a filling to hold reliably, whether from a large fracture, extensive decay, or after root canal treatment. It restores both the shape and the biting strength of the tooth underneath.

A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring a false tooth to crowns placed on the teeth either side of the gap, creating a fixed replacement rather than a removable one. It is a longstanding alternative to an implant, particularly when the neighbouring teeth already need crowns. Worst dentist I have ever been to. Have been bringing my grandson there for about 2 years now. We walked out just now because we only got 10 minutes of service in the two hours we were there. We had to wait an hour after appointment time just to get in a chair. Then they had four patients sitting in chairs and no one servicing them. All the dental staff disappeared to the back hallway for half an hour or more. And this is not the first time they have done that. We left in disgust!

This is the WORST dental office, if you can even call it that, that I have ever been to. Very few places take my insurance, but I will never go back after this week. I had an appointment for Wednesday, I show up and the front secretary LaShaunda was in a baseball hat and sweatshirt and said no one showed up for work and no one called me, she said she would call me the next day by noon to give me a time to come in on Thursday, no call and vm is always full, She told me on Thursday to come in at 9 am on Friday, I walk in to her in a baseball cap and sweatshirt again and dark building and she said the dentist had a fever, had an attitude with me because I was upset, my temporary crown had fallen off Wednesday, I was in so much pain, I went to the ER Thursday night, called off work Friday to come in at 9am and I asked her if they had replaced the last dentist who left…. She lied and said yes…. She offered me an appointment on Saturday at 1pm… oh and she promised a dentist would be there 😂 what a joke… so I have paid for an ER visit, missed work, and spent all day Friday finding an emergency dentist who was able to put my temporary back on. I show up Saturday, after calling back to back until she answered the phone and said yes the dentist was there at 1 when my appointment was scheduled. I sit and wait until another patient comes out of a room and says he’s been waiting for 2 hrs! I confront her and she tells me I need to leave that’s a violation of HIPPA, I have worked in healthcare for 17 years, when I first walked in her son who was no older than 13 is wearing gloves and a mask and is setting the tools up and cleaning the trays and bringing patients back!!!! WHAT!! When I got upset she called him to go be in her office…. After two hrs a young high school girl sets the crown on and it fits. I wait 30 mins for the dentist and he says I’m good to go…..ummmm hello…. It’s not cemented on…. He asked if I was sure…. What a joke…. So he sets it and is like well I’m glad we caught that before you left!!!! Please please for the love of god, go anywhere else! They go through dentist like toilet paper… I will be doing more than just this review, trust me.

Very unorganized. The girl who is supposed to clean the teeth told me she didn't complete her education. She didn't have good control when handling the tools. She wears a face mask under her nose and breaths in your face while so called cleaning your teeth. They will forget to call in your prescription and then refuse to answer the phone when you try and call and they won't respond to any messages you leave. They have young girls working there with very little experience. A dentist who used to work there told me that he left because he found out that they purposely skip important steps when working on patients causing them to have to come back for more work, therefore more money.

I am writing this review to caution others about the billing practices at this clinic. I recently received dental work and was charged $718 out-of-pocket at the time of service. Later, I reviewed my Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from my insurance company, which clearly stated that the insurance had paid 100% of the claim and my patient responsibility was $0.00. This meant the clinic had overcharged me by the full $718. I contacted my insurance carrier, who followed up with the clinic. The clinic confirmed to the insurance company that they had indeed been paid in full and should not have charged me. They committed to issuing a refund. It has now been over a month since that confirmation, and I have not received my refund. Despite the clinic having received the insurance payment and admitting their error, my money has not been returned. Until this is resolved, I cannot recommend this clinic. I urge future patients to carefully review their EOB statements and be very cautious with upfront payments, as their billing department appears to be either unprofessional or engaging in deceitful practices.

Worse place to go for any dental work! Took my grandfather there for extractions dentures and I've had to go back at least 5 times to scan his mouth because they didn't do it right the many times before. They're very rude and never happy or welcoming! They have a bunch of kids (just got out of highschool) working there. Unprofessional 100% and wouldn't recommend them to anyone. The manager comes to work looking like she just left the club and doesn't want to do her job. When I asked for my grandfather's prescription to be sent where he lives , they said we don't do that . I said can you look to make sure and the manage said I know we don't send medicine there and told me to just use they're pharmacy. When we came in for a denture fit, we got here before the appointment time with my grandfather and they let a guy go back that was an hour late to his appointment. When I asked the manager how long until we can go back she said she had no time frame and didn't know after 20 minutes of waiting. They're nonchalant about everything and don't care!! Don't go here!!! Keep searching for a better place!
