Dr. Varoz is knowledgeable and personable. The dental hygienists were efficient and kind. His front desk staff are friendly and effective.

I initially called to make an appointment. I told the woman on the phone that I was only interested in getting a cleaning, as my last comprehensive was recent and my insurance would only cover one once every 3 years. She told me that was fine and asked me to send over my most recent x-rays, which I did. At no point did she tell me a comprehensive exam (among other things) was mandatory. On the day of my appointment, I was told that a comprehensive exam, full panoramic x-rays, and a fluoride treatment were mandatory for new patients. I completely understand this practice, though I did let them know I was initially not told this upon making my appointment. No big deal, I would just make an appointment for a cleaning elsewhere since my insurance wouldn't cover any of this. I was asked to stay seated for a moment while they talked to the front desk. The tech returned, and let me know that I would only be charged for a routine cleaning, and that while everything else was still mandatory for their records, all of it would be comped. I was in the clinic for over 2 hours in total, the majority of that time spent waiting, as there were "staffing issues". They apologized for this profusely and 2 other people said that they probably would have ended up comping everything anyway if they hadn't already. During the visit, Doctor Jesse was also extremely pushy about me desperately needing Invisalign. I told him and I spoken with multiple dentists about it before, but they all told me it was not at all necessary and would be solely for cosmetic reasons due to a small gap in my from teeth that has closed on its own. He brought it up at least 3 more times, telling me it would be a huge mistake to not get it. Very much felt like I was speaking to a used car salesman. Upon leaving, the woman at the front desk again confirmed that the cleaning should be covered by my insurance and that everything else was taken care of by the clinic. A few months later, I received a bill from the clinic because my insurance did not cover the comprehensive exam. I was confused, and called the clinic. The woman I spoke with told me this has nothing to do with them and told me to "take it up with my insurance". Insurance confirmed they billed me incorrectly. I spoke with another man 2 days later who told me they don't have the power to comp anything directly after confirming to me that they did comp the fluoride and x-rays. The amount they billed me was also more than what my insurance let me know I was responsible for.

I came to them because my former dentist moved and I had an emergency. They were professional, caring and had excellent bedside manner. They took the time listening and are aligning care with my patient goals! I highly recommend the whole team. Thank you Dr. Jesse, Andrew and the whole San Antonio dental team! 😊

I have been a patient at Dental Care on San Antonio for two years. Dental Care on San Antonio is my favorite of all dental doctors and techs of my almost 70 decades of using my teeth. Yes I have had teeth for that long and yes I have had some great dentists, and Dr Varoz is my favorite. He is thorough and talks about what he is doing during procedures. The shining star is my dental tech, Velsey. She is gentle, thorough, and remembers me every time I see her. Her dental cleanings have never hurt me. She actually cares about her patients. But I do my part in taking dental home care very seriously. Be a part of your medical care; you will feel better. I highly recommend Dental care on San Antonio.

First visit was excellent. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr is also very friendly and answered questions- willing to interact even though I was not seeing him for that visit. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there. There are individual areas for patients. It is not a corral with 12 stations and everyone is in everyone else’s business. I appreciate the privacy. Next few visits are already scheduled.

Dr. Varoz is my favorite dentist! I love that his office uses the most up-to-date technology and best practices in the industry. His examinations are quick and painless. He is great at explaining procedures. His staff and dental hygienists are well trained, efficient, and friendly. They make going to the dentist easy and stress free.
