About Dental Center of Mesa
Dental Center of Mesa provides dental care on East University Drive in the Sherwood area of Mesa, Arizona. Wisdom teeth are removed when they are impacted, repeatedly infected, decayed, or damaging the tooth in front, since they arrive last and often into a jaw with no room left. Not every wisdom tooth needs to come out — one that erupts cleanly and can be kept clean is often left alone.
Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.
Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.
Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.
A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.
Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. Get in touch through it to ask questions or book a visit.

I went to Dental Center of Mesa and had a most satisfying periodontal cleaning and full mouth x-ray with new Dental Hygienist who was very professional and accommodating. Dr. Kalika came in and asked if I had any concerns, which I did not. Been using this dentist for years and will continue because of the great service.
This has been my dental office for three decades. The staff is amazing, knowledgeable, and so friendly. Dr. Kalika is so professional. I especially love the way he explains everything in detail with sincere understanding and appreciation for me as a patient. 5 Stars!⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Like the friendly and professional atmosphere.
I have the utmost respect for Dr.Kalika and his wonderful staff, it's a joy to be a patient there!
I have been going to the Dental Center of Mesa for years - since 2012. Doctor Kalika, Kaya, and everyone at the clinic are wonderful. Dr. Kalika is the best dentist I’ve had. I moved 60 miles away from the clinic, but I do not want to switch to a nearby clinic. Appointments with the dental hygienest Kaya are like spa days.
Staff was very kind and professional. Dr Kalika was prompt and courteous, and blew no smoke. He explained options thoroughly, and didn’t try to upsell me. Definitely will continue to use this dental office for all my dental needs.
I was a patient of Dr. KALIKA for 8 years at the Mesa office. Recently moved to Colorado and will miss him. His treatment, knowledge and exceptional patient care is amazing. I had some difficult and serious dental issues which were expertly and successfully treated and cured with very little discomfort. I highly recommend Dr. KALIKA for dental care.
Dental Center of Mesa is amazing! Dr Kalika is the first dentist I have ever been to that actually likes teeth. My son has been coming with me as soon as he lost his baby teeth. We live in Queen Creek and drive two hours round trip. We will never go anywhere else. Thank you Dr Kalika and all his amazing staff for being absolutely amazing!!
By far, Dr Kalika is the best dentist I’ve ever had as a patient. He and his staff explain procedures in great detail, and the reasoning behind them. I’ve had too many BAD experiences elsewhere..some of which Dr Kalika has rectified.
