Porcelain veneers are thin, custom shells bonded to the front of the teeth to address chips, gaps, and discoloration as part of a smile plan.
A smile makeover combines several cosmetic treatments into one coordinated plan, reshaping a smile's color, shape, and balance together.
Cosmetic dentistry at Dental Design Smile improves the appearance of a smile through treatments such as whitening and veneers, planned around each patient's goals.
A dental bridge fills the gap left by one or more missing teeth, restoring the bite and keeping neighboring teeth from shifting.

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally report and document serious complications resulting from veneer treatment I received at your office in 2019/2020. After my veneers were placed, I immediately experienced pain in my lower teeth. I was informed by your office that this was normal due to the extent of the procedure. The pain later subsided; however, some time after, I woke up unable to open my mouth and in extreme pain. I developed a large abscess on my lower gums that continued to grow, with pain at an unbearable level. I sought emergency care from a dentist in Los Angeles, who informed me that during my veneer preparation, my natural teeth had been shaved down excessively, exposing a nerve and causing an open nerve. This exposure ultimately led to a severe abscess infection. I returned to your Miami office regarding this issue and was told that this was “normal” with veneers and that root canals can sometimes be necessary due to tooth root anatomy. I was then given only two options: 1. Tooth extraction followed by an implant or bridge 2. Root canal treatment with the understanding that extraction would eventually still be required — at an additional cost of approximately $3,000 I do not understand why I am being charged further when I paid approximately $10,000 for this procedure. Prior to treatment, I had no dental issues aside from a missing tooth (#9), which was the reason I pursued veneers. My teeth were otherwise healthy. I returned to Los Angeles, where a dentist completed the recommended root canals at no charge through my insurance. Despite this, the abscess has returned — not only in my lower teeth, but I am now developing a new abscess above teeth #8 and #7. This situation is unacceptable. I went from having healthy teeth to now requiring multiple root canals across my mouth. Additionally, I want to formally document the lack of communication and follow-up from your office: 1. I have reported these issues multiple times without receiving a response. 2. I have called your office repeatedly requesting an emergency appointment and was told someone would call me back, which never happened. 3. The only time I received a response was when your office believed I was inquiring about new veneers. Once I clarified that I was an existing patient with complications, communication stopped. 4. I sent multiple direct messages on Instagram and was told someone would reach out — and no one ever did. I am currently a dental assistant working in a dental office. Recent X-rays taken by my dentist confirm that several of my porcelain restorations are not fully sealed. There are open margins (“open peaks”) with exposed tooth structure, which directly contributes to bacterial infiltration, nerve exposure, and infection. I have been advised that my veneers need to be completely redone due to improper preparation and placement. This is not only a cosmetic issue — this is a serious health concern. I feel that my concerns have been repeatedly ignored, and that patient care was deprioritized once complications arose. I have previously promoted your office and referred multiple patients. Due to my experience, I now actively advise others not to seek treatment with your practice and encourage those who already have to obtain X-rays to ensure their restorations are not causing harm. — I also want to clarify that my disappointment does not stem from the cosmetic appearance of the veneers. Aesthetically, the veneers look natural and are visually well done, which I truly appreciated. However, my concern has never been about appearance alone. This situation is about the health of my teeth, the complications I am now experiencing, and the long-term impact on my oral health. Cosmetic results do not justify ongoing pain, infections, exposed tooth structure, or the need for extensive corrective treatment down the line.
My experience was amazing. everything was great the staff was amazing and nice. Dental design smile took great care of me! Definitely recommend
Very clean and friendly place, staff is EVERYTHING. I had Ms. Castillo she talked you thru everything she was doing and was welling to hold your hand. And Mr. Alex was very helpful as well. They make you feel so comfortable and I LOVE my new SMILE
I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Dental Design Office today. I arrived early for my dental repairs, and when I made this appointment two weeks ago, I specifically told the young man on the phone that I am in a boot and using a scooter due to recent foot surgery. He assured me everything would be fine. When I arrived, I found out the elevator is not working and hasn’t been working since December. That meant I had to slide myself up four flights of stairs (about 40 steps) just to get to the office. This was both unsafe and unacceptable, especially considering they were aware of my mobility limitations ahead of time. Once I finally made it upstairs, I was told my three repairs would cost $900 total — $300 each. This was shocking and confusing because I’ve been to this same location twice before and paid $150 per repair. No one could clearly explain why the price had doubled. To make matters worse, my appointment was scheduled for 1:00 PM, and as of 1:48 PM, no one had said a word to me about when I would be seen. I also drove four hours from Maryland to make this appointment, which makes the lack of communication and consideration even more frustrating. Overall, this was a huge disappointment — poor communication, poor accessibility, unexpected price changes, and no respect for patients’ time. This experience shows a serious lack of customer service and basic courtesy.
⭐ 1 Star I received cosmetic dental treatment at Dental Design Smile in Miami on July 23, 2025, for which I paid approximately $9,000. On the date the porcelain caps were placed on my front teeth, I immediately reported that one side felt abnormal and uncomfortable. I was advised that this sensation was normal and was told it was simply how porcelain veneers feel. I was reassured that there was no issue with the work. Approximately one week later, one of the porcelain caps debonded and came off. I notified the office and returned to Miami for evaluation and repair. The cap was re-cemented; however, three days after returning home, the same porcelain cap debonded again. I contacted the office once more and was informed that I would need to pay additional fees, and that I “probably need a bridge,” despite the fact that the failure occurred almost immediately after the original procedure and had already been reported. I am now experiencing cement loss from multiple porcelain caps on my front teeth. When I contacted the office again regarding these ongoing issues, I was informed that my warranty is out of date, despite the fact that the initial complications were reported within days of treatment and have been ongoing since. Additionally, I have reviewed responses this office has posted to other Google reviews stating that they “attempted to contact the patient.” I want to clearly state that I have not received any phone calls, voicemails, emails, or other communication from this office attempting to resolve these concerns. Given the cost of treatment, I expected appropriate diagnosis, proper bonding, durable materials, and accountability for early failures. Instead, concerns raised at the time of placement were dismissed, the same restoration failed repeatedly, and responsibility was declined based on warranty status. I am posting this review to provide factual information for prospective patients considering extensive cosmetic dental treatment at this office.
