About Dental Walk-In Clinic of Tampa Bay

Dental Walk-In Clinic of Tampa Bay is a dental practice on West Kennedy Boulevard in the Beach Park area of Tampa, Florida. Affordable care means the practice sets out to make treatment accessible on a self-pay basis or through a payment arrangement, rather than assuming every patient arrives with comprehensive insurance. It is worth asking directly what options exist before assuming a needed treatment is out of reach.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost.

Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. Why do dental prices vary so much between practices?
Materials, laboratory costs, the time a procedure takes, and local operating costs all feed into the price, and the same treatment name can cover quite different work. Asking what a quoted figure actually includes is usually more useful than comparing headline prices.
How can I get dental treatment without insurance?
Many practices set out self-pay pricing, and some offer payment plans that spread the cost of larger treatment. It is worth asking directly what the options are before assuming treatment is out of reach, because the answer differs from practice to practice.
Why do dentists take X-rays?
Decay between teeth and problems below the gumline are invisible to the naked eye, so X-rays are what reveal them. Modern digital images use a low dose and are taken only when clinically justified.

Best Dentist in Tampa. No dental insurance needed. They bring you in evaluate you and give you a cash price on the spot and fix what you need immediately. Then they re-evaluate and offer you a cash price on what you want done in the future. I couldn't be more thankful. I can wait to get more done

Well, today I went to the clinic for the first time. The attention was so wonderful, the trustworthy, the way everyone treated me, and Lya was such a sweetheart, she exudes such peace. It's a marvelous clinic, I give it 100 out of 10, congratulations!

I want to start off by saying I was late to my appointment. I was supposed to be there by 1700 but my ride was late picking me up. I ended up arriving to DWIC at 1724. The staff was very kind and the dentist that worked I on my teeth did a phenomenal job; but the reason I gave two starts is because they had me waiting to be seen for almost 3.5 hours. By the time I left I had been there for almost four hours!! Which meant they were seeing people that came AFTER me! That is completely unacceptable to have anyone waiting 3.5 hours to be seen. By the time I left, it had been four hours. I left at 2121. When I left, I couldn’t help but wonder to myself “is it because I’m black? Was that why I was seen last?” I’m not the type to pull the race card but to purposely be skipped and having to wait 3.5 hours is ridiculous! On top of that, there was no communication to me on wait time. I had to ask the dental assistant two or three times when I was going to be seen. I will NEVER come here again! I should’ve left and waited to be seen by my endodontist the following day. Giving DWIC my business was an imbecilic decision in my part.

Best walk in clinic ever, i had a filling that was too high and they had me in and out in an hour. Maria was the assistant she was very sweet and helpful, and Dr. Perras explained everything and triple checked to make sure the filling was filed down enough. I was really anxious to tell them the first time he filed that it wasn’t enough. But they made sure I didn’t leave until it was perfect. Thank you guys!

This will be my third time coming to this dental office & I can absolutely say I love this location & team! . I had a teeth extracted & a teeth fill in & a crown built up all in different days. Dr.Christine , Dr. Daniel & their Assistant Lya made me feel safe an comfortable. I’m a very anxious person due too poor dental experience from the past at a different dental office. So I really do appreciate their gentleness & expertise . I highly recommend this office :)

After I lost a filling, I was hoping the dentists here could help me. Unfortunately there was no help, and only added stress. My filling lasted less than 4 days before falling out. Upon calling the receptionist, Tristen, I was completely dismissed and met with an unwillingness to help fix the situation. Tristen severely lacks the professionalism and bedside manner expected in a healthcare setting. Dental emergencies are stressful enough on their own, patients shouldn't have to deal with a hostile or condescending environment when walking through the door. Avoid this location at all costs. Poor dental work and even worse patient support.

My veneer popped off after eating a caramel protein bar. I called this dental office after doing a quick online search. They had me in the same day within an hour. The staff was very professional and the dentist was top notch. Had my veneer rebounded and out the door in 1 hour (from 4pm-5pm). Couldn’t be happier with the quick turn around and professional service! Now I can enjoy my weekend with a smile! The price was reasonable and I would highly recommend this “Walk-In” Dental clinic.
