About DentArt Chicago

DentArt Chicago operates on South Michigan Avenue in the Near South Side area of Chicago, Illinois. Dentures replace some or all of the natural teeth in a jaw with a removable appliance, custom-fitted to the mouth. A full denture replaces every tooth; a partial fills gaps where some natural teeth remain. Because the jaw bone reshapes over time, dentures typically need adjusting or remaking periodically.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts. Frequently Asked Questions

Where is DentArt Chicago located in Chicago?
DentArt Chicago is on South Michigan Avenue in the Near South Side area of Chicago, Illinois (60616).
What days is DentArt Chicago open?
DentArt Chicago is open Monday through Saturday. Contact the practice through this page to confirm current appointment times before travelling.
What services does DentArt Chicago offer?
Listed services at DentArt Chicago include Dentures. The full list is shown on this page.
Do dentures need to be replaced?
Yes, over time. The jaw bone gradually changes shape after teeth are lost, so a denture that fitted well originally becomes loose and needs relining or remaking to fit properly again.
What is the difference between full and partial dentures?
A full denture replaces all the teeth in a jaw, while a partial fills the gaps where some natural teeth remain and clips onto them for support. Which applies depends simply on how many teeth are left and their condition.
How can I look after my teeth between appointments?
Brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and cleaning between the teeth daily covers most of it. Limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount consumed.

Had a great experience at DentArt Chicago! Dr. Yang and the team did an excellent job with my treatment — they fixed my teeth and everything went smoothly. I felt well taken care of from start to finish. The only thing I’d love to see is air polishing (the air-flow method that cleans with a fine powder spray) offered for cleanings, instead of just scaling with the hand scaler. That would make the cleaning experience even more comfortable. Highly recommend!

Very good service, the doctors tell you exactly what you should do and tell what is wrong. Nice employees and comfortable setting.

The 2-star rating is solely because of Dr. Yang, who is an excellent dentist. Unfortunately, everything else about this office has been extremely disappointing. The front desk management is disorganized and unprofessional. My appointments were repeatedly rescheduled, and at one point they even attempted to switch me to a different dentist without informing me. I only discovered this after taking a day off work and arriving for my appointment. The wait times are also unacceptable. Every time I come in, I end up waiting at least 30 minutes before receiving any treatment. On one occasion, they applied the numbing gel to my mouth and then left me waiting so long that its effect had largely worn off by the time the dentist arrived. Dr. Yang provides great care, but the office’s scheduling, communication, and overall management have made the experience frustrating and unreliable. If it weren’t for Dr. Yang, I would have taken my business elsewhere long ago. The quality of the dental care does not make up for the chronic issues with scheduling, communication, and office management.

I got my wisdom teeth extraction from Dr. James ! Overall, the whole process was quick and any discomfort the doctor and his assistant were attentive. And I came back a month after for a follow-up. Everything healed pretty well.

Had my teeth cleaned at DentArt Chicago and it was a great experience! The staff was friendly and explained everything clearly, so I felt relaxed the whole time. The place was clean and professional, and my teeth feel super smooth afterward — like I can feel every little ridge 😄. I’d recommend this dental team to anyone looking for a gentle and efficient cleaning!

I got ortho treatment from Dr. Li and Dr. Yang did my dental implant, both at Dentart. They are a very professional team, and both procedures were very successful. Communication is very clear and easy. I am very satisfied with the results and my smile.

The team did a wonderful job with an emergency dental repair of my front tooth that had completely broken off. I was able to get an appointment on the same day. The tooth looks good as new. The whole team was very kind and professional and they stayed late to help with my emergency. Thank you!
