Dentist Concord Ca - Dr. Richard Janis

I just wanted to add some more info to the review that I posted some years ago. My husband and I have been going to Dr.Janis for over 20 years. I recently had surgery on my tongue to remove an ulcer. Dr. Janis looked at it when I went in for a cleaning, and also looked at it the next week to check on it. It had not healed so he referred me to an ENT. On the weekend after my visit with Dr.Janis, and before I had seen the ENT, I experienced a lot of pain. For those not aware, tongue pain is excruciating . I could not eat or sleep and no OTC pain reliever did any good. Out of desperation, I called Dr. Janis-who had given us his personal HOME phone number several years ago when I had also had a dental emergency, Dr.Janis responded immediately to my text and called me back. He prescribed a prescription dental paste that was a lifesaver! After I had healed from the surgery, I asked him if he could scale down any sharp points on my teeth so that I could avoid another cut on my tongue. I did not have an appointment scheduled, but his office manager, Melissa (Lisa) was kind enough to fit me into his schedule. As noted below, the entire staff is friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. They are always ready to answer any questions and offer advice for any concerns. We both feel that Dr. Janis and his entire staff are wonderful caring people who excel in client satisfaction and comfort. In addition to regular dental care, Dr. Janis and staff provide last minute /emergency service that has been a great comfort to both myself and my husband. Dr. Janis is patient, kind and gentle in both his dental services and in his interactions with patients in general. We also are very pleased with the dental hygienists in regards to their professionalism as well as their expertise in the care that they provide on a regular basis. I have never experienced any pain while having my teeth cleaned. In addition, they are kind and caring people who make my dental visits happy and relaxing experiences. Melissa, the office manager is also awesome. She is as patient and understanding as she is efficient and organized. When I had a problem with my insurance provider, she told me that she would call them and fix the problem and that is exactly what she did. She saved me money as well as saving me from spending hours on the phone trying to call/talk to the insurance company. We love Dr.Janis and staff! and We highly recommend Dr. Janis and staff to anyone seeking excellent dental care!

I have been a patient for Dr. Janis for over 5 years. His practice is clean and professional. Dr. Janis’s gentle nature is especially inviting, as I have had major dental issues in the past and have increased sensitivities with my teeth. The office staff always make me feel welcomed and I leave feeling taken care of. I hope others will find their way to his office for dental care.

Janis and his team gave me a great experience. Being my first dentist visit in 10 years they really made me feel comfortable. Janis is a very delicate dentist, nearly pain free. His assistant was very kind and made the whole experience the best it could be. The kind lady who did my deep clean was very sweet and very informative. It shows that Janis truly cares about his staff and more importantly his client. I would recommend this dentist office to anyone. They have really helped me overcome a long drawn-out fear of negative past dental visits. So I just want to say thank you team Janis!

Dr. Janis is a very conservative, caring and gentle provider. He also enjoys chatting about real life events such as the Raiders! I forget I'm at the dentist, which I had a fear about. Melissa is an excellent office manager/Assistant. She knows a lot about my insurance and helps maximize my benefits. My hygienist, Marti and the other hygienist are very informative about my oral hygiene and I love how my teeth feel after my cleanings. I love my dental team & highly recommend them!

This dentist is committed to an excellent patient care. He is caring, thoughtful, precise, gentle, an excellent communicator. I am surrounded by many dentist offices where I live, but have chosen Dr. Janis over the others who I have tried before him over a period of several years. I believe I have found the doctor with whom I will stay for a long time. In addition to the doctor himself, I am impressed with his staff at the office, his hygienist and office assistants who are very good at paying attention to all the necessary details. It's an admirable team.
