I had our assessment appt today for my 6 yr old. Dr Boyd was attentive, patient, brilliant, encouraging and knowledgeable. He confirmed what my maternal instinct and months of research suspected for months but couldn’t get other providers on board with. My son felt safe, I felt seen and safe and walked out feeling hopeful. Hoping and praying the treatment, time and financial commitment pay off to correct my son’s airway restrictions.

We are so grateful for Dr. Kevin Boyd and his incredible expertise! He recently began treating my young daughters with palatal expanders, and the process has been so smooth from start to finish. Dr. Boyd is not only exceptionally knowledgeable, but truly a pioneer in airway-focused pediatric dentistry. His passion for helping children grow and breathe better is evident in everything he does. He takes the time to explain every step of the process, and his gentle, thoughtful approach puts both kids and parents completely at ease. It’s rare to find a clinician with such depth of understanding in facial growth, airway development, and functional dentistry. Anyone in Chicago or the surrounding areas is incredibly fortunate to have access to such world-class care right here at home. I couldn’t recommend Dr. Boyd more highly!

From the moment my family and I arrived at the dentist's office, we were warmly greeted by the staff and smitten with the cute outdoor space and play area. Dr. Boyd is extremely knowledgeable and displays a genuine care for his patients. I am actually excited about the next visit. I have total confidence that my children are being cared for by a dentist and dentistry team in a loving and intentional manner.

⭐ 1 out of 5 stars I have seen Dr. Boyd in the past with my children when he was still in-network with our insurance, and recently returned for a consultation regarding a palate expander. While the visit itself was fine, my concerns began afterward when I followed Dr. Boyd’s own suggestion to send my treatment and cost questions by email for clarity. The office called me twice, both times when I was unavailable, and I returned one call but they didn’t pick up. Despite this, my request to have questions answered via email was dismissed, leaving me feeling uncertain about communication and transparency. When I spoke with Orla on the phone, she said she would answer the best she could and suggested scheduling a follow-up, but I had hoped that Dr. Boyd himself would respond to the questions he had asked me to send. It was also mentioned during our visit that Dr. Boyd would communicate with my son’s specialists at Lurie Children’s Hospital, but our Lurie doctors confirmed that no such contact occurred. While I appreciate their time, I ultimately did not feel the level of trust or confidence needed to proceed with treatment here and will be seeking care elsewhere. On the bright side, the office is in a beautiful neighborhood, with a kid-friendly atmosphere and prizes for children. However, it can feel crowded, the treatment rooms are mostly not private, and the doctor may speak about your child in front of others. The parking lot is small, so you may need to ask someone to move their car if parked behind you. They are not in network with dental insurance.

Very knowledgable in airway and children's growth and development. I appreciate spending time explaining x-rays. My son and I felt comfortable with the exam and treatment plan.

I drove 3 hours for this appointment. left crying, not because I was sad… but from happy tears! After years of pediatricians, dentists, and ent’s telling me “everything is fine! She will grow out of it”.. I finally found someone who HEARD me and believed me and confirmed everything my mother instincts knew! I’m excited to finally get my daughter the help she has needed and the plan to get her airway corrected and on a path to better sleep! Worth the drive and so thankful for doctors who think outside of the box and listen!
