About Dentistry For Children, Yonkers

Dentistry For Children, Yonkers is a dental practice on Getty Square in the South Broadway area of Yonkers, New York. Clear aligners straighten teeth through a series of custom, removable trays, each worn for one to two weeks before moving to the next in the sequence. They suit mild to moderate crowding and spacing well, and are worn roughly twenty to twenty-two hours a day for treatment to stay on schedule.

Traditional braces use brackets and wires to gradually move teeth into alignment, handling complex bite corrections and significant crowding more predictably than removable alternatives. Treatment commonly runs one to three years, with a retainer worn afterward to hold the result.

Pediatric dental care is built around treating children specifically — dentists with additional training in child development and behaviour management, and offices designed to make a first visit unintimidating. Guidance generally points to a child's first dental visit around age one or within six months of the first tooth.

Sedation dentistry uses inhaled, oral, or intravenous options to help patients relax through treatment, ranging from nitrous oxide for mild anxiety through to deeper sedation for longer or more involved procedures. It is commonly used for patients who have avoided the dentist for years due to fear.

Oral surgery covers procedures beyond routine treatment — surgical extractions including impacted wisdom teeth, implant placement, and bone grafting among the more common ones. The distinguishing feature is generally that tissue is opened and closed as part of the procedure, rather than treated at the surface.

Orthodontic treatment straightens teeth and corrects bite problems using braces, clear aligners, or similar appliances over a period that commonly runs from about a year to several years depending on the case. It is offered to both children, where early evaluation can catch developing issues, and adults at any age. La recepcionista es muy grosera y atiende de mala gana, además de que la espera es larga y es una pena porque la atencion de los dentistas con los niños es muy buena.

The receptionists should be replaced; they are completely unfriendly when you call to make an appointment. They leave you waiting, rude and without saying a word.

Amazing office! My children had an incredibly positive experience! The entire team from the front desk to the lady’s in the back, they were all very welcoming. X-ray tech was very patient with my children. Dental Hygienist Luz was very professional and explained to my kids the importance of brushing and flossing. Dr.Anuja was excellent with my kids, one of my children had a cavity and she fixed it the same day. Explained the procedure to my baby and he sat through it with no problem. The office is spotlessly clean, and they truly prioritize patient comfort. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for top-notch, gentle dental care! They accept most dental plans!!

I had such a great experience at this pediatric dental office! The staff was incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. They made my child feel comfortable and safe, which made the entire visit stress-free for both of us. Dr Anuja was very gentle, informative, and took the time to explain everything clearly. The office was clean, organized, and very kid-friendly. You can truly tell they care about their patients and creating a positive experience for children. I highly recommend this office to any parent looking for a caring and professional pediatric dentist!

This place is beyond unprofessional. My experience as a first time visit was the worse nightmare ever! My daughter caught an infection on an unhealthy tooth after they refused service for extraction. The so called “MANAGER” lied on me by saying “WE had an altercation on first visit all because THEY were overcharging the insurance and I requested clarification’ as part of my rights, my daughter is now banned from this place. I still haven’t been able to remove the tooth as this is the only clinic that accepts her insurance. This is considered patients discrimination and I will report them to DOH and moved forward with legal actions.

I had a very disappointing experience with this dental provider. During my son’s visit, the dentist displayed a lack of professionalism and empathy that was deeply concerning. Instead of creating a safe and supportive environment, she spoke to my son in a way that felt intimidating and dismissive. Her comments were negative and made my son feel uncomfortable and discouraged, which is completely unacceptable—especially when working with children. As a parent, it was upsetting to see my child feel judged rather than cared for. I felt that her behavior crossed a line into discriminatory treatment, which should never happen in a healthcare setting. If you’re uncomfortable about touching a kids face then you’re in the wrong field. Go get a different job. I strongly believe that all patients, especially children, deserve kindness, respect, and understanding. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. I would not recommend this place based on how we were treated.

This dentist never has availability for emergency walk ins and when you ask for an appointment they give it to you months out. The staff is unprofessional the waiting time is forever. I’ve been looking around to switch from this dentist. Although the dentist herself is super nice I hate coming to this place or even calling for an appointment. They never accommodate me when I have a issue with my child’s teeth.

This is the best pediatric dental office; everyone is very sociable, my kids feel comfortable, and they make the experience perfect for them. My little one always gets anxiety thinking about the word dentist, but as soon as he sits, my little one gets so comfortable, and it is because they cheer him up and make sure he has the best experience. I truly recommend this place.
