About Dentistry For You OKC

Based on Hidden Forest Boulevard in the Van Buren area of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Dentistry For You OKC is a dental practice serving the area. Tooth Decay Treatment is also among the treatments offered here, and the practice can explain what it involves and whether it fits your situation at a consultation.

Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Dentistry For You OKC located in Oklahoma City?

What days is Dentistry For You OKC open?

What services does Dentistry For You OKC offer?
Listed services at Dentistry For You OKC include Tooth Decay Treatment. The full list is shown on this page.
What does tooth decay feel like in the early stages?
Usually nothing at all, which is the difficulty. Decay tends to become noticeable only once it approaches the nerve, so a cavity is often found at a check-up rather than because it hurt.
What causes cavities?
Bacteria in plaque feed on sugars and starches and produce acid, which dissolves mineral out of the enamel. Frequency matters more than quantity — grazing on sugary food or sipping sweet drinks through the day keeps the mouth acidic for longer than eating the same amount at once.
Is it normal for teeth to be sensitive to cold?
Mild, brief sensitivity is common and often relates to exposed root surfaces or worn enamel. Sensitivity that lingers after the cold is removed is more significant and worth having examined, as it can indicate the nerve is involved.

This was by far the best dentist I have been to in ages. They were reasonably priced very gentle with my teeth, and even called the next day to make sure everything was working out for me. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for dental work in Oklahoma City area.

DO NOT GO HERE!! Had to give one star so I could post this. We have been patients for almost 10 years and have excellent dental insurance. They double dip. Made us pay upfront and my insurance paid them. They owe me $155 and for 6 WEEKS I’ve been waiting for the refund. Have made numerous calls to their office. If they treat a 10 year client like this, I can only imagine what they’d do to new ones.

At first, we loved this office, we got all of our 5 year old sons work done here, she was magical with not letting him know there was a needle however, his teeth hurt months after the work was done and she said it was normal, all of the fillings that were done broke and we had to get them redone, in less than 6 months, somehow they needed to do another X-ray which didn’t make sense, and Recharged us for those correction visits, we are still correcting the work that was done on his teeth plus more issues that came from that. My sister got a filling done and her tooth has been hurting ever since the dental work. She went back in, got it checked and was told it was normal for the pain to be there MONTHS later 🤨 There are bills that I’ve talked to the lady at the front desk about, they said they would be corrected and they just weren’t and if you have a cleaning and an exam those are considered 2 separate appointments so if you miss them or something you get billed for 2 appointments. It’s just really frustrating

Excellent office staff, doctor was very in tune to health issues...very comfortable. I trust them with my care. Dr. Thanh Dao has awesome chair side manners...very personable and caring. Nicki gave the best deep cleaning ever received. No surprises, keeps patient aware of each step in the care. I am proof they "cater to cowards".

I recently visited Dentistry For You OKC to get established with a new dentist after moving to the area, and I had a great experience. The office is modern, clean, and well-equipped, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Dr. Dao took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel comfortable throughout the visit. Overall, a very positive first impression — I’ll definitely be coming back.

We just experienced our first time at this dentist office and to say we had a great experience would be an understatement! The staff is so nice and funny and easy to talk to. They gave the best customer service and treated my son so nice! I highly recommend going here if you are in the market for a new dentist.

Dr. Dao is so very sweet and her staff is amazing. My kiddos and myself were super impressed and comfortable. The technology they use to care for your teeth and gums is wonderfully advanced. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about this place. My kids are still excited to go to the dentist!! 😄
