About Divine Dental Clinic
Divine Dental Clinic provides dental care on West 1st Street in North Vancouver, British Columbia. At the core of a general dental practice is preventive and restorative care: checkups, professional cleanings, fillings, and screening for decay and gum disease before either becomes a bigger problem. It is the kind of appointment most people need on a routine schedule rather than only when something hurts.
Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.
A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.
Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.
Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.
Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. I can’t thank Dr. [Name] and the entire team enough for their outstanding care and professionalism. They went above and beyond to save one of my teeth when other options seemed limited, and thanks to their expertise, they were successful. I also had a dental implant done, and the entire process was smooth, comfortable, and the result exceeded my expectations. Everyone in the office is kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about their patients. They take the time to explain every step, making you feel confident and at ease throughout the treatment. If you’re looking for a highly skilled dentist with an amazing team, I wholeheartedly recommend this clinic. Thank you for giving me back my smile!
I had an absolutely fantastic experience at this dental office! From the treatment team to the front desk staff, everyone was so kind and professional. They took the time to explain every step of the process to me, so I always felt informed and comfortable. I had a really positive experience and I highly recommend them.
had my wisdom tooth surgery with Dr. Hedayati and had an excellent experience. The doctor was professional, kind, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. The surgery went smoothly, and my recovery has been great. Thank you to Dr.Hedayati and the team for the outstanding care. Highly recommended!
I ha a divine visit for cleaning!
Love this place! Every time I walk in there is a kind smile at the front desk, Dr Hedayati is always so sweet and gentle.
I would not recommend this dental clinic. TLDR: pushy to get non-urgent treatments done, lost x-ray fiasco, unwarranted political comments from dentist I found their style of preventative dental care to be a bit extreme and very pushy - both Dr. Hedayati and Dr. Azar saying I needed to get 5+ fillings when I've never needed a filling before going here, and getting me to schedule all of them because "it's very important that they are treated." This never sat well with me given my pretty clean dental history. Dr. Hedayati made unwarranted political comments to me after learning I'm American, which did not make me feel safe and comfortable in his care. They took x-rays upon one of my first visits, and then my next visit 6 months later they can't find my x-rays at all, so we had to take x-rays again. Not really enjoying my experience, I recently decided to try a different dentist in the area. My new dentist called Divine Dental to pass over my x-rays and dental history, and Divine claims again to not have any of my x-rays and that they lost them. The receptionist at my new dentist said Divine Dental was a bit combative and dismissive about the situation. Additionally, they were always late for my appointments. I often had to wait up to 30 mins after my appointment time. Barb the hygienist is great and really the only positive experience I had here.
I would like to tell anyone that is looking for dental work that Devine Dental are phenomenal. Dr. Shayna Hedayati is amazing. I recently had major work completed and he did so at magnificent skill and manurism. Danka, his assistant knew every move and between them it was the most professional experience available. Like going to the symphony. Jill and their staff make the entire experience exceptional. I can't wait to go back.
Lectured me about my smoking. The cleaning was more expensive than others and lots of spots were missed. The fillings they did over a year ago still hurt. Extreme pain when eating anything sweet, mild pain when drinking ice water. Never in my life before i felt that. One of the fillings I already had from a previous dentist which was done years ago they said was "bad", and they replaced it. Well guess what, their replacement fell out after a month. They offered no solution for my abfraction which is the biggest problem that I have. My teeth were better when i still had the cavities. I wouldve been better off keeping my money. Writing this review later after the fact because they said the pain would go away with time. Well it didn't. + I have a massive hole in a tooth now. Oh and they charged me $20 for something I didn't know what it was that they put on my teeth and I didn't know it wasn't part of the procedure and they told me i cant eat with that on my teeth. But I had made plans to go eat out right after so I had to remove the substance anyway. If they told me all that I wouldve said no. I know it's just $20 but with everything else, its the cherry on the cake and its dishonest. Edit : I found some of the old receipts and the treatment plan. Personal information redacted because I don't want your assistance. I am just writing this review because i was extremely disappointed to find out your good reviews could not be trusted in my case, so a warning to others. It's actually been longer than I thought. After 3 years, still pain, still hole in tooth.
