Routine family dental care, Ballpark District
Smyleee Rating
Rated
Downtown Denver Sleep Solutions runs a general-dentistry practice set up for the everyday work most patients actually need in the Ballpark District area of Denver. The clinic is built around the day-to-day work — not boutique marketing — and serves adults and kids in one familiar place. The shape of the practice fits patients who want a clear conversation about what's actually needed, with treatment staged around real priorities rather than a one-shot proposal on the first visit. If you're scoping a Ballpark District dental option, this is a sensible practice to put on a short list of candidates and book a first visit with.
Service coverage spans the standard general-dentistry breadth: routine cleanings and exams, tooth-colored fillings, crowns and bridges, root canal treatment, basic extractions, and gum-disease management. The practice also handles minor cosmetic touch-ups like whitening and bonding when patients need them, alongside the routine preventive work. Restorations lean conservative — composite material rather than amalgam — and most needs are kept in-house, with specialty referrals reserved for cases that genuinely call for them rather than offered up front.
If you want straightforward dental care without aggressive treatment plans on the first visit, this clinic is set up around exactly that kind of patient.
Cost positioning sits in the typical Denver general-dentistry range, with most major insurance plans accepted and clear pretreatment estimates before restorative work begins. Patients searching for dentist for the whole family in Denver, preventive and restorative dentist in Denver, or affordable family dental care in Denver commonly land at neighborhood practices like this one — generalists rather than narrow specialty offices. It suits families wanting consistency over many years, patients who value predictable scheduling, and anyone who'd rather have one trusted dentist see the same teeth across decades than rotate through a corporate group practice. The Ballpark District location works for patients already running errands in this part of Denver, and parking and transit access tend to be straightforward for the surrounding blocks.
Downtown Denver Sleep Solutions on 18th Street in Ballpark District runs a general-dentistry practice covering cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canals, and basic emergency care for adults and kids for Denver families.

I am so thankful to have found this office. They know exactly what they are doing and have helped myself and many others who I have referred to them with their sleep apnea. Highly recommend! Dr. Thompson is so knowledgeable and Andrea does an exceptional job and truly cares about their patients.
Dr. Thompson and Andrea are extremely accommodating and very professional. They go the extra mile to make sure you are receiving the appropriate treatment and they take their results personally. I had mild/moderate sleep apnea and was able to get my snoring cured and am waking up significantly more well rested after their assistance. Highly recommend, you will be taken care of.
I have been going to Downtown Denver Sleep Solutions for 5 years now. They have helped me with mild sleep apnea. Whenever I need something I reach out to Andrea and she goes out of her way to help me.
I called this practice to ask if they took insurance and can accommodate a sleep study, which was recommended by my doctor. They said they do accept my insurance and explained what the sleep study entailed. I explained that I would be talking with my doctor after the sleep study to determine the best course of treatment, and it may not entail purchasing a mouthpiece, and asked if would that be acceptable. Andrea assured me they just want what is best for the patient. Everything seemed great, Andrea even went as far as to drop the device off at my place of employment, which I greatly appreciated. I did the study and the results were shared with my cardiologist. I did have some problems with the billing for the sleep study that have been challenging to resolve. The billing for the sleep study is apparently billed by Dedicated Sleep, the company that supplies the testing device that DDSS works with, and not this practice. It's been several months and I am still waiting on the credit back to my account. They were paid out at 100 percent by my insurance, but then they charged my credit card the same amount as my insurance paid (so they essentially double dipped). I'm hoping to have some resolution on this soon as it is been over 2 months since I was charged. UPDATE: I FINALLY received the credit back after 2.5 months and numerous phone calls. DDSS does a good job, but watch your bill for the provider of the sleep study apparatus if you are tested. I've changed my review now that I finally have some resolution, but it was frustrating and time consuming to obtain the credit that was due to me.
My dentist has been suggesting I see him for a couple of years now and I just kept putting it off. I had no idea how bad my sleep apnea was. After getting fit for an appliance, it's hard to believe I didn't go in sooner. My snoring has stopped, i feel better rested in the morning and my wife is sleeping better as well. These appliances aren't cheap. But when you see what goes into the process of testing, fitting, making, and consultations on them, it makes sense. More importantly though, they can literally safe your life. Sleep apnea can be deadly. Take care of the problem. Dr. Glenn Thompson was easy to work with and knowledgeable about his area of practice.
