All the staff at Phillips, Cooper and Assoc. Dental Care are professional and friendly. Jaynesha Is knowledgeable and made me feel welcome. She is great at her job. Susan and Dr. Flynn are amazing. I was nervous and they made me feel comfortable and put me at ease. dr. Flynn talked to me through everything. I would highly recommend this dental practice.
Dr. Cooper and his staff are always so kind and gentle. I’ve been a patient for 30 years and travel to DC from Springfield because everyone is so special in this office💝 Angel has been my hygienist always and there is no one better!!!

Beware of this office and confirm your insurance coverage carefully. My spouse received care at this office in October 2025, and the experience was unsatisfactory. We had only been living back in the United States for about a year and simply needed routine cleanings before relocating again. Instead, the provider repeatedly pushed additional treatment that was neither requested nor needed. On the day of the appointment, she did not receive a cleaning. Staff informed us that the visits would need to be scheduled on two separate days—something that was never mentioned when the appointment was booked by phone specifically for a cleaning that day. Nearly 10 months later, we were contacted about an unpaid balance. When I called for an explanation, the office stated they were not in-network with United Concordia Tricare. This directly contradicted the information we were given and confirmed multiple times before treatment. We had also provided our benefits information so coverage could be verified in advance. After sending additional verification paperwork to confirm they were in the correct network, we were still billed months later for what appears to have been their administrative error. Based on prior reviews, billing and administrative problems seem to be a recurring issue at this practice. I strongly recommend verifying network status and appointment details in writing before receiving any care.
I would highly recommend Dr. Cooper. He's a phenomenal dentist. In addition, Marissa, is an incredible dental hygienist. I've been going to them for a number of years. And the front desk staff is very nice and competent at helping you figure out your coverage and answering whatever questions you may have. I feel this is the best dental practice in DC. They offer outstanding care.
No one likes going to the dentist, that is of course if you have to go to Dr. Cooper and Associates. I actually look forward to my visits, Dr. Cooper is always straight up with me and my decision to have any suggested work done is on me and no one else. I've had referrals for outside work which has also been amazing. So even the other professionals that his practice has to work with are also true to their profession. Lastly, Tran is the best. We talk about so many things during my visit and she knows my family and remembers everything that I share with her. It's the best and I always refer anyone I know who needs dental care to this office. Such a fabulous team of people!

I am so happy that I have found this dentistry. The whole team is amazing. Dr Cooper and his assistant Tamara were really helpful and professional. I have never had such a thorough cleaning before - Kim did an impressive job. Overall, 5-star experience!
