About Dr. Foley
Based on North Ridge Road in Wichita, Kansas, Dr. Foley is a dental practice serving the area. General dentistry covers the routine and restorative care most people need most often — examinations, cleanings, fillings, and preventive checks that catch problems while they are still small and inexpensive to treat. Regular attendance, roughly every six months for most patients, is what makes that early-catch approach actually work.
Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.
Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.
A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.
Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.
Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit. Even though they were extremely busy, I was able to get in and out quickly, even with xrays! Great teamwork all the way around.
Great employees that do great work and fun people
Fantastic experience!
As a Veteran I’ve had nothing but problems trying to get an appointment. To make things worst. The receptionist really told me to calm down if I want her to help me. Poor customer service. Great dental staff once in the chair !!!
Excellent as always, Naomi was the best as usual making my experience fast, professional and enjoyable..Dr Chastain is great.
I always have a great experience when I visit Dr. Foley as they take such good care of me regardless of the requirement. Twice a year, Abby always cleans my teeth so well, while Dr. Tom checks them out and keeps me up to date. I enjoy stopping by their office! Thanks! Roger Smeltzer, Sr.
My teeth are grateful to Foley Family Dentistry! No cavities since I started going there! The hygienists do a great job with the cleanings and are all friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond, giving helpful advice and recommendations.
It's not unusual for me to have a good experience at Foley Family Dentistry, but today I had to have my first crown. I wasn't sure what to expect but Dr. Foley and team walked me through the steps and did a great job. From beginning to end I was impressed. In and out in under two hours and left with a tailor made crown!
It was really good! My family had a slightly mixed experience, but I greatly enjoyed my hygienist and doctor. The hygienist was the first to actually explain why your gums bleed when you don't floss - inflammation from bacteria infection! Don't know why no one mentioned it before 😅 maybe I have a bad memory. Very chill even though I hadn't been there in two years. Said my teeth were good, wisdom teeth were approaching and referred me to an oral surgeon. Overall pretty nice!
I have been going to this dentist for years and I love it. The staff is very professional and friendly. I have told so many people about Dr Foley because they never over charge their patients. I look forward to going there. Naomi cleans my teeth better than anyone else has ever cleaned them!
