Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! I am incredibly grateful to this dental office for helping me so quickly during my visit to Santa Barbara. I had an unexpected dental issue and came in without an appointment, but the entire team reacted immediately and did everything possible to help me. Everyone was warm, welcoming, professional, and genuinely caring. A very special thank you to Dr. Shafik, who was absolutely outstanding. He was kind, knowledgeable, reassuring, and explained everything clearly. I immediately felt that I was in excellent hands, and the treatment was performed with great care and precision. Dr. Hurtado is so kind. I always feel comfortable during my appointments. He is very patient and gentle. I couldn't recommend him enough. I actually live in Los Angeles, but make the drive up every 6 months because I refuse to see anyone else.

I tried getting a light emergency visit with three other dentists until I called Dr. Hurtado and he took me right away. The others were going to make me wait days until having the sharp metal wire of my broken permanent retainer removed. Dr Hurtado did it in minutes and was much more reasonably priced!! The best part was feeling seen and soothed in a moment of discomfort. His 35 years of experience really shows and I’ve never been in such a relaxed environment dental office. Wonderful, friendly staff all around!
Dr. Hurtado, Dr. Hoffman and their team are the most thoughtful and honest dentistry team in the area. After going to a different dentist in SB and being given a laundry list of things wrong with my teeth, I went to Dr. Hurtado’s office and was treated honestly and respectfully (turns out, not much was wrong - the previous dentist just wanted money). Julio does a wonderful job taking care of patients and creating a comfortable and professional space. Nicole was a great tech that works with care and gentleness. Couldn’t recommend this office more.
