About Dr. Johanny Caceres. Oral & Facial Surgery Of Miami

Dr. Johanny Caceres. Oral & Facial Surgery Of Miami operates on Southwest 8th Street in the Douglas area of Miami, Florida. Wisdom teeth are removed when they are impacted, repeatedly infected, decayed, or damaging the tooth in front, since they arrive last and often into a jaw with no room left. Not every wisdom tooth needs to come out — one that erupts cleanly and can be kept clean is often left alone.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not. You can reach Dr. Johanny Caceres. My son had his wisdom teeth removed. He was very nervous at first but the doctors office made him feel comfortable and explained everything to him. They also called the next day to see how he was feeling

I’ve spent the last 4 years in excruciating pain and discomfort living 3 broken wisdom teeth. (I must admit - my nerves got the best of me that’s why I took soo long.) But I couldn’t TAKE IT ANYMORE!!! Both my oral health and confidence were rapidly declining. I suffered for years and all for NOTHING. I walked in a nervous wreck (again for NOTHING). This place was so astounding, I am still unsure of what happened or if I underwent any form of operation. THESE PEOPLE ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD - AMAZING! Dr. Caceres was extraordinary! The staff was incredibly professional, informative, and gentle with me. 10/10 positively would recommended again, again, and AGAIN 💯❤️😊 Do not cheat yourself TREAT YOURSELF!

I cannot recommend this dental office enough! I have had an incredible experience. The doctor is extremely kind, takes the time to explain every detail of the procedures, and makes you feel very comfortable. Furthermore, I want to highlight the entire team; from the receptionist to the dental assistants, everyone is incredibly professional, attentive, and helpful. They even went out of their way to see me this past Friday without an appointment, which truly shows their commitment to their patients. They have also been a great help in providing the necessary documentation to justify my absences at work. A first-rate team, absolutely professional and wonderful!" I had a dental procedure that required sedation and I felt safe and well taken care of.

Dr. Varona and the entire team at the Kendall office were absolutely amazing! We actually live in Tampa, but after reading all of the incredible reviews, we decided it was worth coming all the way to Miami , and I can honestly say it absolutely was. I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed and the entire experience was so quick, easy, and honestly way less painful than I expected. From the moment we walked in, the office was extremely clean, organized, and welcoming. The staff was so kind, professional, and made me feel comfortable and calm throughout the whole process. Dr. Varona was awesome , very knowledgeable, reassuring, and efficient. You can tell he truly cares about his patients and wants them to have the best experience possible. The surgery went smoothly and recovery has been great. I’m so happy we made the trip and would highly recommend Dr. Varona to anyone needing wisdom teeth removal or oral surgery!

I had been postponing my wisdom teeth extraction for years because I was extremely nervous, but the experience ended up being better than I could have imagined. From the moment I walked in, everyone made me feel comfortable and at ease. Jenny, the dental assistant, and Dr. Caceres were both incredible and made the whole process feel smooth and stress-free. I’m so thankful for such great care and will definitely be recommending this office to family and friends!

It’s been a month since my wisdom teeth removal, and everything has gone very well. I had all four teeth removed, and since two of them were close to a nerve, surgery with anesthesia was necessary. I was very nervous going into it, as it was my first time having any type of surgery and being under sedation. However, this office and Dr. Caceres came highly recommended by both my regular dentist and an emergency dentist, and after reading so many positive reviews, I felt much more confident. My experience ended up being very smooth. I didn’t have any significant pain, just some mild discomfort and the odd feeling of healing afterward (and getting used to the holes 🤣). I followed all the post-op instructions and took the prescribed medication as directed, and my recovery has been great. I also really appreciated the staff’s follow-up after the surgery. They checked in and were always willing to provide guidance or recommendations if needed, which made me feel well cared for throughout the process. Overall, I’m very happy with my experience and grateful for the care I received.

I had been putting off my wisdom tooth extraction for years because I was so nervous, but I truly could not have asked for a better experience. Everyone in the office made me feel calm, comfortable, and completely taken care of. Dr. Caceres is absolutely amazing at what he does. I was so anxious about the IV sedation but it was really quick and painless. I was asleep within seconds and when I woke up I couldn’t believe it was already over. I’m 24 hours post-op with no swelling and minor soreness. I’m so grateful for how smooth everything has been. I will absolutely be recommending this office to everyone I know!
