About Drs. Delgado & Kamaris, Endodontics

Drs. Delgado & Kamaris, Endodontics operates on West Kennedy Boulevard in the North Bon Air area of Tampa, Florida. Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not. Contact details for Drs. Dr. Kamaris and staff were wonderful to me, very caring and present to my needs. Dr. Kamaris listened to me, presented me with options and did an amazing job of treating my tooth. I felt no pain during or after the procedure and feel better today with no pain or swelling. This is one of the best dental experiences I've had. I highly recommend Dr. Kamaris and appreciate the work of his entire staff.

I am very thankful Dr Upshaw recommended me to Dr Kamaris. I am so happy I went to him, he explained very clearly what was happening to my tooth, and he explained the options. He offered to do the procedure right away, instead of asking me to comeback, like every other doctor. I felt very secure and trust his advice.

Dr. Kamaris is awesome. I unfortunately had to get two root canals this year, but he made the whole experience way better than I expected. He really takes his time, listens to you, and makes sure you’re comfortable the entire time. The staff is also great—super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Everyone just makes you feel at ease. Honestly one of the most positive experiences I’ve had in a medical/dental setting. Highly, highly recommend Dr. Kamaris and his team. Thanks again!

It’s hard to fathom a 5star rating for a root canal, but when you need one, this is the practice who should be consulted. Dr Kamaris is talented, gentle and thorough. He’s easy to understand and explained what he will do and what I should expect. His staff is compassionate and patient. I highly recommend him.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Kamaris and the entire experience I had at this office. I was extremely anxious walking into my appointment because my previous root canal experience at another dental office was honestly excruciatingly painful. I was expecting the worst, but Dr. Kamaris completely changed that for me. From the moment I arrived, I felt cared for and reassured. Dr. Kamaris was incredibly gentle, professional, and efficient. Most importantly — I felt absolutely no pain during the procedure. I was honestly shocked at how smooth and comfortable the entire root canal was. From start to finish, I was in and out within an hour, which was amazing considering how nervous I was beforehand. I’m so grateful they were able to fit me in this week and provide such exceptional care. While I hope I never need another root canal again, if I ever do, Dr. Kamaris will be the first person I call without hesitation. You are truly in the best hands here. Highly, highly recommend!
