About Dunkirk Dental
Dunkirk Dental is a dental practice on County Road 30 in Maple Grove, Minnesota. A dental implant replaces a missing tooth at the root, not just the crown — a small titanium post is placed in the jaw bone and, once it has integrated over a period of months, a replacement tooth is attached to it. It is generally the most durable option for a single missing tooth or several.
Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.
A crown covers an entire damaged tooth — used when too much structure is missing for a filling to hold reliably, whether from a large fracture, extensive decay, or after root canal treatment. It restores both the shape and the biting strength of the tooth underneath.
A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring a false tooth to crowns placed on the teeth either side of the gap, creating a fixed replacement rather than a removable one. It is a longstanding alternative to an implant, particularly when the neighbouring teeth already need crowns.
Dentures replace some or all of the natural teeth in a jaw with a removable appliance, custom-fitted to the mouth. A full denture replaces every tooth; a partial fills gaps where some natural teeth remain. Because the jaw bone reshapes over time, dentures typically need adjusting or remaking periodically.
Professional teeth whitening uses a peroxide-based gel, applied under supervision at a strength stronger than anything sold over the counter, to lift years of staining from coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco. It works on natural enamel only — existing crowns, veneers, and fillings keep whatever shade they were made in. At your initial exam and every cleaning appointment, we perform a comprehensive dental exam. Your dentist examines the teeth and checks for cavities or areas showing abnormal wear. X-Rays are taken every 12-18 months which allow us to see the areas in between the teeth or under the gums. Included in the exams, we check for oral cancers or ulcers on the gums, tongue or lips. Comprehensive exams are recommended twice a year. We offer a variety of cleanings and gum treatments to fit all of our pati

I've been to many dental clinic's in my years and I think this is going to be my favorite. Small office, one dentist one receptionist and one hygienist. When I got there Linda the receptionist greeted me by name, hygienist Lauren was friendly and did a very thorough cleaning and when I saw Dr. Kotok he was personable and did not try to sell me dental work I did not need. Everyone was personable and good at their job. I'm glad to have found this office.
I've been seeing Dr. Kotok for over 5 years. I never did like going to the Dentist but with him it's not an issue. He's very personable and passionate at what he does. My 3 boys and wife see him as well. Taking the boys to see a Dentist used to be a huge chore but not with him. Linda always makes scheduling easy and is a pleasure to work with.
I've been seeing Dr. Kotok for over 20 years and bring my kids too. He's awesome.
The best you can find- I have been seeing Dr Kotok for many years- never had a reason to change even though I have to drive past numerous other dental offices to see him.
I've been a patient of Dr. Larry Kotox for many years, even before Dunkirk Dental. He's very competent and professional, but also very personable. Another benefit is that he typically does the cleaning and x-rays himself. I'm the third generation in my family to be a patient of his, and assuming he's still practicing, he'll probably be my kid's Dentist too.
