There are no words to adequately express my appreciation for what Dr.Canallatos did for me! When I first went for a consultation with her, I thought I was getting a partial denture. During my consultation, she thought I may be eligible to get implants and pointed to me in the right direction. I had previously been told I did not qualify for implants. Much to my surprise I did indeed get the implants, all thanks to her sending me to the right person who could help my very unique situation. After the implants were ready, I went back to Dr.Canallatos where she gave me the most beautiful smile I never thought I'd get in this lifetime! She fixed seven of my teeth with crowns and bridges. She is a master at her skills! I highly recommend her!
I can’t recommend them enough. They saved my tooth after another dentist messed up a filling. I was a new patient and they still prioritized my care. I now drive 40 minutes for my routine appointments. Emily is the best!

I had a great experience with East Amherst Dental Center & Prosthodontic Associates and wanted to share my story. Back in July 2023, Dr. Wendling and his assistant Steph placed a crown for me. For almost 3 years, it worked perfectly — no discomfort at all. Honestly, I even forgot I had a crown. A couple of nights ago, while I was eating an apple, I suddenly felt something hard in my mouth — it turned out the crown had come off. I was definitely surprised, since I had been told it could last at least ten years. But I also remembered they mentioned that if anything ever happened, I could always come back. I contacted the office yesterday (April 21), and they were able to get me in right away the next day. The whole process today(April 22, 2026) was smooth and stress-free. Dr. Wendling and Steph quickly re-cemented the crown and explained that the issue was likely related to the original bonding material. They used a different one this time and were very reassuring. What I really appreciated is that they stood behind their work — the entire visit was taken care of at no cost. From the doctor to the assistant to the front desk staff, everyone was kind, professional, and welcoming. As someone who doesn’t particularly enjoy dental visits, they made me feel comfortable and at ease. Even though an issue came up, the way they handled it quickly and professionally truly earned my trust. Highly recommend this team. Thank you all!
East Amherst Dental is a patient-centered practice. Dr. Wendling and Stephanie are very patient and kind. They make an excellent team. Shannon and Emily are excellent dental hygienists.
