About East Bay Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Center
East Bay Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Center is a specialist oral surgery and dental implant practice on Pawtucket Avenue in East Providence, Rhode Island. The practice focuses on the surgical side of dental care and on replacing missing teeth.
Oral surgery covers procedures that fall outside routine general dentistry, including the removal of wisdom teeth and other surgical extractions, as well as the management of conditions affecting the mouth and jaw.
Dental implants are the practice’s other main focus. An implant replaces a missing tooth at the root, providing a stable, long-lasting foundation for a crown that restores both function and appearance. Implant treatment is planned in stages, beginning with a thorough assessment of the teeth, gums, and bone.
As a specialist practice, the office typically works alongside a patient’s general dentist, who often refers patients for surgical or implant care.
A consultation is the natural starting point for surgical or implant treatment. As with any practice, and particularly for surgery, patients are encouraged to confirm which clinician will be performing the procedure, to ask for a written treatment plan with itemized costs, and to have the steps, risks, and aftercare explained clearly before treatment begins, so expectations are clear and on record.
The Pawtucket Avenue location is convenient for East Providence and the surrounding communities.

Awful experience, took my wife two hours to get a healing cap. Nobody addresses you, lack of communication between staff and patient. The oral surgeon is arrogant and impatient.
This place is literally the worst place ever. If you look up the doctor online, it’s a different doc that sees you with the same name. I got my wisdom teeth out here last year. I had pain for 2 weeks and it never got better. It got worse on a Sunday. I called the office and was told to call back on Monday. Mind you, I already had inflammation. On Monday morning, my mom had to call for me and he wouldn’t see me for like, another 3 hours. When I got there, he told me to go to the hospital where I spent 8 days there. This guy is a scam. Do not go here if you care about quality. Also, he told me about care only after I got my wisdom teeth out. As if I was in my right mind.
My wife came here for a wisdom tooth extraction and dental implants. Virginia was the dental assistant and she was wonderful, my wife felt very safe and comfortable. All went according to plan. We both have some anxiety around dental appointments so her coming out of the appointment with a big smile on her face (and a mouth full of gauze lol) was very reassuring. Thank you!
I would stay far away from this place. They were super nice at first, than they got our money. Wisdom teeth removal went OK, that is the only reason they have two stars instead of one. My son came out of his appointment for the final portion and said I don't think the guy knew what he was doing at all. Prior to the last procedure both my wife and myself spoke with the office to ensure that we would not need any adjustment to his retainer after the procedure, while we waited for the next steps. Both people we spoke with assured us he would be fine. We were NOT fine. His retainer DID NOT fit and we were basically told "too bad". My son is a teenager and they essentially told us he was fine to be missing two front teeth for over a month. He spent his entire school vacation in his room until we were able to contact his orthodontist to fix his retainer. If they had told us the truth from the onset we would have had the retainer fixed that same day. After all that, we decided NOT to use the office they recommended for his teeth, and we were shocked (well not really) that the East Bay put in healing caps that were too small AND one of the implants was crooked! Thankfully the office we used took care of both issues. But when they called East Bay they were also shocked at how rude the lady on the phone was. Stay AWAY from this place!!! Not recommended at all.
Maria just called to remind me of an appointment for later this week, I told her I would like to cancel it because I had my wisdom teeth taken out yesterday by a different practice and she rudely goes "so you weren't going to say anything?" I told her I'm saying it now because you just reminded me of this appointment and she hung up lmao
Would not recommend. a) I think I should have taken 2 wisdom teeth out at a time instead of having all 4 removed together. 3 of my wisdom teeth were completely under the gum, 2 of which fully impacted. That’s an intense surgery, and indeed I have been having a very difficult time recovering. However, at no time did the doctor inform me of the pros and cons of taking 2 vs 4 based on my situation and he simply told me it’s my choice. I felt I was not well-informed after the consultation. b) after the surgery, my lips were very badly broken. I know it’s common to have your lips torn a bit, but I think they were very rough. c) they handed me a tablet to review their practice very soon after I got out of the surgery. But having just woken up from general anesthesia and having had no time to recover from the surgery, how could I know if they did a good job? They should have emailed you for a review a week later. d) the office staff are very incompetent. I go by a different name than my legal name. They just never remembered even after I told them like 10 times and they kept using the name that I don’t go by. I was pretty offended. I also had to reschedule my appointment once, and it took them a good 5 minutes to understand what I wanted to do, even though the first thing I said on the phone was that I’d like to reschedule. I only went to this oral surgeon practice because my dentist referred me there. I should have done more research and found a better one. I would not recommend this practice to any of my family or friends. 2 stars because they did what they told me they’d do - removing my wisdom teeth, but otherwise I’m unhappy with my experience.
Great time! No,seriously. I was scared, never had a tooth pulled etc. Needed it done because I was in pain. The staff was awesome The Surgeon, even better. I feel 100% . bye bye tooth!! Here is a picture because who doesn't love seeing a wisdom tooth! Yes they let me keep it!! A++++
