About East Valley Dental Professionals

East Valley Dental Professionals is located in suite 12 at 2058 South Dobson Road, placing it in Mesa's Dobson Ranch area — a planned community in southeast Mesa near the Dobson Road and Warner Road intersection. The South Dobson Road address is accessible from the US-60 Superstition Freeway, making the practice convenient for patients from the broader East Valley including Gilbert, Chandler, and southern Tempe as well as the Dobson Ranch and surrounding Mesa subdivisions.

Insurance coordination is explicitly prioritised at this address — the practice works with multiple dental insurance plans and has structured its treatment planning process to help patients manage costs across benefit periods. For East Valley families managing dental coverage through employer benefits, this is a practical clinical and administrative advantage: familiarity with benefit structures reduces the surprise of unexpected cost at treatment time and allows multi-phase plans to be structured around annual maximums.

The service scope is broad enough to serve as a genuine dental home rather than a referral-dependent practice. Endodontics — root canal therapy and endodontic retreatment — is handled in-house, removing the need for a specialist referral for most root canal cases. Orthodontic care in both braces and Invisalign formats is available, covering the clinical range from complex adolescent fixed cases through adult mild-to-moderate aligner work. Sedation dentistry for anxious patients or complex appointment consolidation rounds out the access options.

Paediatric dentistry alongside adult general care makes this a practice that serves households with children at multiple ages — from first dental appointments and sealant applications through adult restorative needs — at a single address. Dental sealants are a high-value preventive intervention for first and second permanent molars, where the deep occlusal fissure anatomy traps food and plaque in areas where a toothbrush cannot reliably reach.

Dental implants, dentures, and conventional prosthetics cover the tooth replacement options. Bruxism treatment — occlusal appliance fabrication for patients who grind — addresses one of the more common presentations in adult general dentistry in the East Valley demographic, where nocturnal bruxism is prevalent and often goes undiagnosed until significant occlusal wear is evident on clinical examination or radiographs. For East Valley patients in the Dobson Ranch and south Chandler area looking for a general practice that manages insurance efficiently, provides endodontic and orthodontic care in-house, and serves patients from childhood through adulthood, South Dobson Road covers that household's full clinical range.

Our Mesa Arizona practice accepts many types of dental insurance plans and also works extensively with those paying out-of-pocket. Make certain we accept your insurance by reviewing our insurance carrier list or feel free to call us and we will gladly look it up, as these things change constantly. Please remember, our staff is accustomed to developing treatment plans that will remain within your budget.

I was excited to try Dr. Smith for my new partial as his reviews were good. The whole office is very friendly. Had teeth cleaned by Katie and she did a great job. I had a top partial made as my old one was 10 yrs old. I needed 2 teeth pulled also. The whole experience was a bit rough as a wk after teeth were pulled I got a dry socket and infection. Had the dry socket fixed but was given the last shot in the hard gum of the roof of my mouth and tears started coming but I didn’t make a sound. It hurt the worst of shots I have ever had and I have most teeth on top gone. When the tears came they both got up, said nothing and left for about 5-10 mins. Came back and not a word! I thought how rude and insensitive. In the meantime I needed to keep wearing my partial. But with initial teeth pulled and swelling, then a week later a dry socket with infection the partial was constantly changing how it fit. As swelling went down the partial got loose and lopsided when I bit on one side. Dr. Smith would do a one little adjustment but I said until swelling is gone it can be fit better then which he agreed. So I come in about 2.5 wks after dry socket and giving swelling time to go down and then get partial fitted. I was telling him what was off and he did ONE big adjustment and I couldn’t even get the partial on without really pushing hard with my bottom jaw. It was very tight and I knew it was abnormally tight because I wore a perfectly fitted partial by my old dentist for 10 yrs prior. I was feeling frustrated because it was tight around my front teeth but loose in the back. Kathy said because you have no back teeth. Which I said I didn’t have those back teeth with my old partial and it fit like a glove. Then they were like tag teaming, well we could do a re-line, but no we don’t want to do that. I mean WTH?!?!?! My whole experience was damaged by the lack of compassion they even showed. Showed no accountability or effort to make it right. The reason my old dentist fit partials amazingly was he made 2-4 small adjustments while you were in the chair having you take it in and out. Usually by 2-3 visits it was perfect! But Dr. Smith is horrible at fitting and has zero patience. Make 1 big adjustment (after all the swelling finally went down) and thinking it’s going to fit is doing a disservice to the client. Oh, and I told him is rocks when I bite down on the left side, the other side lifts. He is like well you have a cleaning coming up (4 months away, lol) and we can take another look then if it isn’t fitting. I was so aggravated by the time I left and steaming by the incompetence. It has taken me several months to even write this. He may be friendly but he isn’t an all around good dentist at all. My old dentist is retiring sadly and I have since found a new dentist. I do not recommend him but I absolutely Katie and the gal at the front desk!

From the moment I walked in the staff was super nice and friendly. My X-rays were done by a very friendly lady (can’t remember her name) Then the doctor came in and explained everything so I understood what’s going on with my teeth. He was also very professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend this office to family and friends
