Edwards, Cavendish & Jones Jacksonville Dentistry

Saddened to say Today (8/28/2025) I left my dental appointment disappointed and dissatisfied after 10+ years of receiving dental service at the Edwards, Cavendish & Jones. Today’s Service was not completed thoroughly, I was asked to sit in the lobby to get more xrays pictures because the young lady who I seen wasn’t able to get certain angles/pictures of what she needed. She expressed I would only have to wait 5 minutes. 5 minutes, 10 minutes passed by and no one came out to call me back to finish the X-rays pictures that couldn’t be captured the first time. So, eventually I got up and stated to the young lady behind the desk no one has come back out to get me; however I need to go. The young lady who I spoke to apologized and stated the service today will be canceled from my insurance and we can reschedule. I walked to my car after my appointment to drive home but, before I actually drive off I look in the mirror to see my smile and cleaning work. I realized that there is chip in the Front left tooth that was not there before my appointment. I turned my car off and walked back to the dentist office to see if I can speak to one of the main dentist such as Doctor Edwards or Doctor Cavendish, the young lady who I spoke to before informing her I’d been sitting there and no one came back out for me and the same lady that told me my insurance will not be billed for today’s service, told me that she will send me a text and for me to send the picture I showed her of my chipped tooth that I believe to have been caused by my cleaning service. I sent the picture with dialogue and no reply to follow.

Caring, efficient, and knowledgeable. All aspects of the office run extremely well. Hard to find!

The staff and doctors are amazing - very knowledgeable, thorough and friendly. The office is extremely clean. I moved away for 10 years and now I'm back and I couldn't be happier to be back with the ladies of EC&J! Best dental practice I've ever used, I cannot say enough good things about them.

Easily the best dentist I've ever had! As someone with lifelong dental anxiety, every visit is very healing and helpful. The option for nitrous or anti anxiety meds helps a ton, and the staff offers numerous little touches to make you comfortable - could not recommend more!

I have been a patient for 12 years and always received only the highest quality care, from routine cleanings, to filings, bonds and even Invisalign treatment (twice). Their professionalism, chair side manner, cleanliness, and quality of service is unmatched compared to every other dentist I saw before finding EC&J. Being female owned and run, which makes the office warm and inviting, is just the cherry on top. I’d give 10 stars if I could.

This was the most thorough patient screening as a new patient I’ve ever had. I’ve had the series of x-rays before, but I haven’t had a camera used and obviously AI still fairly new but they did use that to try to validate all of their findings and visualize it for me, which was super cool! I am also in technology so I always love when I see how new tech technologies are being used. It is very long. They were good to set my expectations, but it still went even a little longer. So just be ready to spend some time at the dentist and have an incredible exam!

You will find this dentist office to be clean, professional, welcoming and kind. Every person I have interacted with here has made me feel valued. I have been going to them for almost 2 years and never felt judged with the multiple dental issues I came with. I have high anxiety with dental work and they gracefully pull out all the stops to make me feel safe and comfortable. They are walking me through the process at my pace, ensuring I have strong teeth for life. I’m very thankful I took my friend’s recommendation to go to them.

Lexi is the best and makes getting your teeth cleaned a pleasure! Dr. Cavendish is one of my favorite people these days. She had helped me get my issues taken care of and had done it in a kind and nonjudgmental way. I think we will be best friends when we are finished!
